Skinniest player in the NBA?

Post#1 » by Joshyjess » Sun Nov 21, 2021 2:59 pm

During the Celtics / OKC game last night I got a chance to see Aleksej Pokuševski play, and it amazed me just how skinny the kid is (he looks like a pretty good player - just extremely skinny). It got me to wondering if he is the skinniest player in the NBA, or if there is perhaps someone who is even skinnier than he is.
I am not trying to attack the kid or anything, in fact it's more of a nostalgic kind of post (he reminds me of some of the players that used to play in the 70's or 80's).
So, who do you guys think is the skinniest guy in the league right now? is it Alekse or is there someone even skinnier.

*** Sorry I didn't post a picture of him, I'm really not good at posting things in these threads (too old I guess  ).

Well, at least he's a super young kid who has a chance to fill out as he gets older. Boucher on our team is like 28 years old so that's who he is pretty much lol.

Oh wow, I forgot all about Bol Bol. Yeah, that kid's pretty skinny (not quite as skinny as Manute was), but yeah definitely skinny.

Wonder if him or the guy OP mentioned have Marfan syndrome. I'm sure they've been tested for it but sub 200 pound 7 footers seems unreal.

Can't determine this without knowing the volume and the surface area of the candidates' bodies, and nobody's measuring that. Because being the skinniest should mean having the lowest volume to surface area ratio of the body in the league.

Possibly. I’d say it’s far more likely he’s just a very tall kid with an insane metabolism that runs around all day.

Skeets and his gang claim he looked like Nash, but really he looks exactly like Andy Rautins. Poku sure is skinny.

Man just yesterday i was thinking about the starters for the first time in ages... That show shouldn't have been cancelled.

But yeah, it's Bol Bol... Feels like he is going to break at any more. My wife walked by when he was in the game a couple of days ago and just kinda froze when looking at the tv from the shock of seeing him

Metabolism plus energy expended makes it’s near impossible for some of these athletes to add weight. Gorging yourself isn’t as great as it sounds.

They have a youtube show now on youtube called No dunks. I was a fan for years, even tho I like more serious straight forward shows, I might be the only long time fan who still hates when they derail their show to talk about wedgies for 5 minutes, but overall its still entertaining. Helps me keep up with the league cause they unlike TNT shows, they actually watch most of the games and all the teams.

Wouldn’t the answer be the smallest player in the NBA
Sam Hinkie gets removed from the league for enacting a plan approved by the fanbase yet NIco Harrison and Patrick Dumont keep their job for alienating their fanbase. Make it make sense.
