He's all over the place. He talks about the league not punishing on potential but what actually happened (in the case of Lebron, and it's why he got one week, even though he doesn't believe he intended it), then talks about Stewart should have gotten more because of the 'potential' of what could have happened.

The mainstream moron media are making the instigator and the cheap shot artist , the victim again. Stewart shouldn't have been suspended at all, Lebron should have been suspended at least 3 games . The NBA is awarding and protecting cowards.

Thumb up to Jokic , you are a moron comparing incomparable, to justify Lebron's cowardly act.

And the show did its job. It made a purposefully dumb take to get people talking about it and in turn get more views and clicks to their videos and social media pages. These "views" and "takes" any of these guys have are not real. They are created in an effort to drive up engagement. If you really don't like what these idiots have to say... stop watching and giving them attention.

This, this is a terrible take on what happened.

Lebron did this. He is the cause of this. His suspension should have been, at least equal to Stewart's.

Hopefully, during the next game, Lebron learns a lesson.

No. Did he get him in the face? Yes twice. Did Lebron walk up to him casually and deck him? No! They were tangled up and in his frustration to disengage he caught him twice in one motion. So no not a sucker punch.

Sucker punches are often born out of frustration.

It wasn't a sucker punch because the two were already engaged. Not because there was a lack of intent. The intent was there.
the intent was to disengage not to punch. Lebron even walked back towards him to apologize immediately after.

Nah the intent was clearly to smack him with his fist. What is this "disengage" BS? That's not how you box out, that's not how you disengage.

He was frustrated and decided to hit the guy. Maybe he meant to catch him in the chest or the arm, but regardless he meant to hit the guy with his fist when all he was doing was boxing him out. It was 100% intentional, don't pretend like it wasn't.

Now I don't think Lebron had any intention of catching him the way he did, but that's the risk you run when you hit a guy with a closed fist when you've got that much power and they're not looking. But the intent was clearly to hit Stewart with a bit of a cheap shot, not "disengage".

I mean it's a dumb take for sure but dumbest take by a sports analyst ever is an unbelievably high bar when you take into account how many decades ESPN has existed

Probably not since Kenrick Perkins is still on ESPN.

I was just laughing at ESPN earlier for something else. They did a short segment on the Celts and pointed out we won our third straight game and 8 of our last 10. And explained that Jaylen Brown came back from missing 8 games with injury and had 19 points last night.

Then they asked if Tatum or Brown deserved more credit for the C's turnaround. And Kendrick Perkins had to explain that Brown wasn't playing and thus Tatum was the answer to the question. Uhhh duh? What kind of segment/question is that? If you need Perkins to explain something so obvious you're not doing it right lol.

I think his suspension was shorter because he tried to apologize to Isaiah Stewart immediately when it happened. If Lebron had actually wanted to start a fight and engaged with him it would have been a much longer suspension.

the lakers started trolling stewart that's why he got so heated. and what's the difference between 2 and 3? 2 is fine. 1 is fine for LeBron. people are making too much of the outcome of this.

"escalating" what exactly? Why do you consider Lebron hammer-fisting a fellow NBA player to be a "situation" and think he deserves less time off than his victim?

This situation wouldn't exist if Lebron hadn't lashed out violently, it's entirely on him and he should bear the brunt of the punishment.
