Curry Cultivating a New Crop of All Stars

As GSW ascended to the top of the NBA, the GB's refrain was Klay was a poor defender, poor handled-hack who couldn't created his own shot. Dray, a defensive hack who could score if his life depended on it. And so on... In hindsight, now Curry had the help of multiple all stars...nah, HOF level players . With the current crop, seems like it's going to be deja vu all over again. 15-2 with a bunch of hacks around him... so, G who are the hacks turn all stars this time?

Come on...which side of the discussion were you on? Klay and Dray are trash, or did you see them both as Curry having all star level help from day 1? And, how do you explain GSW's strong start now?

The general board did seem to believe curry was propped up by playing with all stars dray green and klay thompson, and was a system player....but also that dray green and klay thompson were vastly overrated players.

A former #1 overall pick, former 100 million dollar man, and a former Euro League MVP?
How much help does Steph need?!?!?

"all stars" when applied to Klay and Dray were used begrudgingly by the GB...for years the mantra was that they were overrated...if I had a nickel for every time Klay was compared to Danny Green, I'ld be posting from a lap top I owned...

Perhaps...but here's your chance to pick your side of history...is this all a mirage and GSW will come crashing back to earth? Or will Curry drag a bunch of hobbled NBA has-beens and cast offs back to contention? Come off the sidelines and take a stand!

Pick a side in your make believe argument?

You calling out others for “stanning” is high comedy, dude.
You slurp all things Brooklyn no matter what, lol.

Come on...dont' make me dredge up all the narratives that I've describe. You weren't paying attention if you don't acknowledge the positions I staked out. But, if you don't want to play...explain why GSW is having such a strong start with G-League players and NBA cast offs...heck a parallel thread to this is whether Dray will ever be an all star again... Don't be obtuse.

I get where you're coming from...hard to accept that KD became a legit ATG after playing with Curry, right?

I THINK the OP is suggesting that Curry and the Warriors team environment and draft choices is cultivating all-stars in Poole, a vastly improved Wiggins, a potential future all-star in Kuminga.
If Warriors are going to continue a dynasty than this would be the way to do it. Continue core of Curry, Draymond, Klay and CONTINUE to build through the draft/player development.
And haven't even mentioned last year's #2 pick, Wiseman.
I don't know what "stanning" means. Just not hip enough for this forum lol.

KD was on a "legit ATG" trajectory before joining GSW, though.

curry didnt develop anyone. gs system is what make damaged good players hide their weakness.
why isnt wiseman/moody/kuminga winning roy then when they have curry 24/7?
also currys playmaking and defense is far inferior to dray. the notion he was taught by curry is ridiculous its the other way.

Was he? A lot of unfulfilled expectations...and since GSW he has achieved another level of efficiency, has he not?
