Best can be defined by style or comfort your choice, for me my all time favorite will be the son of the glove or the question, both fresh

In terms of comfort definitely Nike zoom Freak 1 / Giannis first signature shoe. I usually need 2 months of playing 6 times a week to break into shoes. I put those on and they fit perfectly.
In terms of performance Lebron 17 Low. Took me 2 months to break into them but they were awesome in terms of stability and just overall feel.

Culturally it's Jordan's and not even close. But my fav shoes have been most of the super light Kobes. Once you get used to light shoes, everything else seem like weights.

I have to say Jordan 1's but Jordan 8's and Kemp's Kamikaze Reeboks are my style choice.
Honorable mention Lebron II's and Air Much Uptempo '96 if you consider that a signature shoe.

Penny's 2nd shoe is the best ever. Then Jordan's 11, then Jordan's 1 because that got the ball rolling.
Kobe IVs are my all time favorite shoes to ball in

I’m not a sneaker head so have to do a bit of googling. Hope i get these right.
just going by looks and what we’re memorable for me
Air Jordan 12 red and black “flu game” just simple and clean, but also bold and fearless . Just like MJ
The Nike Kobe IV because he was the first major player to come out with a low top sneaker
The Vince Carter BB4
When NIKE put “springs” in shoes, all the kids in my school went nuts. The B -oing” commercials were legendary. The BB4 happened to be the best looking pair.
Those are my top 3 (not including the Jordan 1s because that’s too easy)
Honorable mention
Kobe Grinch’s/ (proto). There’s not a game that I have watched in the last 3 seasons where there isn’t at least one NBA player wearing a pair
