Udonis Haslem On Jokic Brothers Coming To Miami: Don't Start Trouble
Nov 29, 2021 8:55 AM
Udonis Haslem already expressed his admiration for Nikola Jokic as a basketball player and the need to move on from the incident with Markieff Morris. However, that didn't stop Haslem from issuing a warning to Jokic's brothers.
"I keep hearing about the Jokic brothers buying tickets to come to the game. They better stay in line and don’t come down there and start trouble. Miami is my city. It’s my city," Haslem said.
After Morris delivered a hard foul to Jokic in a game in mid-November, Jokic shoved Morris to the ground. That altercation resulted in Jokic being suspended for a game, while Morris has missed several games due to whiplash. There was also some fallout between Jokic's brothers and the Morris twins on social media due to the incident.
Haslem said that's all the past and it's over with.
"We’re going to play a basketball game...That’s my city," said Haslem. "Don’t start nothing, won’t be nothing...Ain’t nobody messing with your brother. We come to play basketball."
Are you looking forward to another one of those "hold me back" moments?

Never forget this carefully crafted image...

Here's the hypocrisy: Heat did that above in the previous game, now Haslem comes out and basically says "don't let it be personal guys, it's just a game".

That pic of the heat team is beyond cringeworthy. That was staged.

Well he's got nothing to lose. He obviously has some kind of blackmail on Mickey Arisson based on him still being on the roster a decade past when he should have retired.

Well of course not...and he isn't claiming he will. This is just a vet stating the obvious....

I thought it was cringe until he said "we're coming to play basketball, don't start something". Honestly, not that bad of a response. The first part was kind of lame though lol

Maybe not, but he shouldn't be talking out loud about this either. If he has anything to say to the Jokic brothers he should say it to their face and not online....

74 year old "muh culture" charity contract guy talks tough after having the chance to actually act tough and doing nothing: more at 11.
Heat reputation as phony tough guys is patently true.

LOL, indeed!
Spoken like a true mob boss!
"Don't come into my city, I'm warning you!"
Ah, the "keepin' it real" mentality...

If he would've just said "We come to play basketball, we're going to play a basketball game." That would've been all good. It's the over the top "They better stay in line, Miami is my city..." stuff that is just so cringy.
Ya'll arent fighters, ya'll arent gangsters. You're basketball players. Haslem is 41 years old. Haslem has been living the high life since he was in his teens. He attended one of the best public highs school athletic programs in the state of Florida where he played high school ball with Steve Blake. He got caught later on having a booster paying stuff for him. He had a full ride to the University of Florida. And has made 70 million in his NBA career. 23+ years of his 41 years he's been living the privileged life all around him playing the game of basketball. Him trying to act like some mob boss is so weird and embarrassing.
Miami is really taking this Jokic situation to the "Hold Me Back!!!" extremes. Just let it die already, we dont need more staged pics of you guys in the hall "ready to throw down."
