OT: Why are Jokic/Doncic fat shamed more than other athletes?

For example, Doncic and Jokic - both are a little on heavier side (though Jokic seems to be coming into seasons in a little better shape than before, ex. last season he came in really good shape). But when players like Lowry were on the heavier side, it's referred to in a way different light (seen posters calling him "thick", "chunky", etc.).
The last NBA player I remember being criticized as much as these two for their weight was Shaq. In other sports there are plenty of heavier athletes (football, golf, poker, e-Sports), but their weight is never being called into question.
It can't be the results that they're producing, because Jokic is absolutely SHATTERING the single season PER record, and leading the league in a bunch of advanced metrics. So, unless people are implying that if he lost some body fat %, he'd be far and away the GOAT, I don't see what the use is in criticizing an MVP for his appearance.
So, what's the reason for criticizing them if they still produce?

Every week there is a new thread about Zion being fat. Harden has been called out of shape constantly this season.

Cause you can’t criticise other aspect of their game as much and honestly they are on a different level in terms of player performance over Lowry . Undisputed number one option who could be MVP

Zion is probably the most "fat shamed" athlete right now, by a lot imo

comparing jokic/doncic to zion is insane. they are just little unfit needing 1 week adjustment but zion is not a pros body hes a monster he needs fat removal surgery.

Fair point about Zion, but he's not just a "little on the heavier" side at this time, though that's not entirely his fault (injury can't help with weight management).
Jokic and Doncic are much leaner but still called fat.

They're fat shamed as much as James Harden and Chris Paul.
They're elite players that look soft in terms of muscle definition and so they get fat shamed. It's not a big mystery.

Have you read realgm? its in your head. Harden is always made fun for his weight and Zion gotta be the number 1 guy that gets picked on. Haven't heard anyone fat shaming Jokic recently, under than that pictures of him in his younger days where he was pretty chubby.

Fat shaming happens when the chunkiness is believed to keep the player from realizing their potential. Jokic and doncic both did have conditioning issues. Harden's far shaming didn't really start til last year because it obviously affected him. I don't know if lowry's chonk really affected his play.

You're experiencing wicked confirmation bias.

I have a “slow” metabolism and pack on weight like a MF if I’m sedentary. 30 mins of moderate cardio a day keeps this at bay and I can still eat like trash.
I have no idea what these pudgy NBA players are doing dietarily if that level of intense exercise + practice can’t get them shredded.
