Lebron James for this season is taking 8.4 3pt attempts per game as compared to shooter Kevin Durant's 4.6 3's/game.
Giannis is taking 4.1/game, a legit shooter like Booker who is shooting 40.9% is taking 5.9
Lebron's FT rate has dropped from 31% last season to just 24% this year. His TS% is lowest since 2007.
He is actually taking more attempts at 20.2 with Westbrook than 18.3 last season.
His shots from 0-3 feet is down to 26% of his attempts as compared to 36.5% 2 seasons ago.
Bear in mind He is turning 37 in several weeks nursing a few injuries.

Lebrons 58% on 2pt FGA. He's 74% from the line.

If you're reading the General Board at RealGM, come to the Knicks, Bron. They don't appreciate you there and you can still be all show biz here.

you got to love a disloyal player not getting love from a fickle fanbase.

Lebron is old and has 1-2 years left. AD is in his prime.
That said, the spacing is poor around them. How do you start a combination of Howard, Westbrook, Tucker, Bradley and Jordan around them and expect them not to have to shoot a bunch of jumpers.

I mean he's 37 and he knows that 3 > a turnaround mid range shot of his if he can get this % up.
Im not expecting him to drive more at his age. His game is what it is now. There's really no changing it unless he wants to increase wear

yea lebron's recent years have kinda made us think he'll never age but 37 is very old in the NBA. Especially since he came straight out of highschool and has made so many finals' runs
Some other noteable players at age 37:
Kobe's final season (shot 35% from the field)
MJ retired for 3 years
Magic retired
Larry Bird retired
Hakeem averaged 10ppg
Shaq second last season (playing on the celtics for some reason)
There have been a couple of outliers
Kareem averaging an insane 22/8/3 on 60% fg playing in 79 games! He went to on to have 4 more allstar seasons AFTER this. Dude's longevity is wild.
Karl Malone 23/8/5
John Stockton 12/9
Dirk 18/7

LeBron is almost 37, dealing with injuries, and can’t blow by anyone anymore. Of course he’s going to have to settle for threes more. There’s no excuse for Davis though who’s in his prime and also shooting a lot worse from outside than LeBron.

Lakers really should've ran it back..last years roster was perfect for LeBron and the way he's aging. That way he just runs the floor with a bunch of elite role players and AD can go to work.
Last years Lakers were seriously on fire until LeBron got injured. Without injuries they were the favorites. Why after a set of injuries a team lacks the resiliency to run it back? Why is there such mental weakness inside the locker room? Maybe because they won a championship and still traded all their important guys like Danny Green and Javale McGee. Look at Javale on PHX now, he's seriously doing amazing stuff. Dwight is actually trash now, Lakers center rotation has been ruined, but at least they got WB who doesn't want to play with a center anyways.
No idea what's going on in that front office, rebuilding so drastically every single year and losing tons of key glue guys all the time, it's not a good look.

Well I think we've reached the point where you can safely say a LeBron team is not championship favorites. So if you had "3 weeks before 37th birthday" you win.

Yup he's settling. He's old...Old people chill. If we could get a good trade or something i'd take it. He did more than enough with AD bringing a chip. But i dont know if he's got it in him anymore to turn it up.

Korver would've had to retire at 28 if he shot the 3 ball as poorly as LeBron does.

A 3 is better than a 2, but in Lebron's case he should be taking more mid range shots this year when the defense gives it to him.
A look on his shooting percentages and volume.

In short take less 3s unless you are open and try to get close to the rim and take more midrange shots.

It's Lebron's team. Younger depth would have served them but Westbrook happens

Why are you comparing Leold to Prime AD. Stop giving a young AD a pass for anything. Lebron is getting up there in age and his mileage is insane. Sorry to say but his decline has been going on for a while now.

He has settled during the regular season for some time. Granted, he usually did it while still maintaining a high seed, but I think last season made him realize especially that it's better to just make it to the playoffs healthy then to go all out for a higher seed. He just can't do it for 82 games anymore lol he's old as ****.

What excuses? That he is old and can't take his guy off the dribble consistently? People who call everything an "excuse" may not understand the meaning of the word.
