I see a potential star in Franz Wagner

Size, length, playmaking, pretty decent defender already, and what's the most surprising to me, is his ball-handling, at least compared to what we thought he would have this early. He was so good and consistent that now they have given him the ball, which is surprising, even on that roster. What a prospect Magic fans!

I see a glue guy, kinda peak of Jrue Holiday on offense, but the sky is the limit really he could really be unleashed with the Magic a few years away from doing anything.

I comp him to a Gordon Hayward type, but not as good a play maker. He's been balling out and defiantly a consolation prize considering Suggs slow start compared.

This rookie class is shaping up to be pretty amazing.

Kuminga had quite a few highlights against him last night in limited minutes.

Meh, the putback was pretty af though. But Wagner just played 31 mins in a blowout, so Kuminga comes in and plays 12 mins with fresh legs against a weak bench. But it's great that Kuminga is starting to get mins and show what he can do.

I think his ceiling is Otto Porter if he wasn’t injury prone.

Orlando is going to be a problem if Suggs can hit his potential. Suggs/Anthony/Wagner/Isaac/carter/2022 nba draft pick

Its not Franz Wagner guys its his slow footed brother Moritz Wagner. Kuminga scored few buckets against our third stringers.

I think Franz has every tool to be great. Hayward is not that close. He is much smaller, worse passer as a rookie, worse defender. It will come down to development becouse Gordon improved a lot.
I see more Turkoglu or Gallinari with better passing.

I thought that was Mo. Do you think the Gordon comp is far off? IMO they play somewhat similar. I can also see Gallinari with better defense also. I don't think he'll ever be the playmaker Hedo was though, but I've been wrong plenty of times.

Loved Franz Wagner's defense in college. Use his feet well to play lockdown defense, and was blocking shots on the perimeter.

I didn't see the handles or the ability to attack the rim in college though. I thought he was going to be a do-it-all glue guy without much scoring juice.

Craftiness reminds me of Ginobili, but manu was definitely more athletic

My concern for him coming out of college was his lack of aggressiveness looking for his own shot, glad to see that he's being fairly assertive early in the season. Definitely wasn't expecting these types of performances from him, but I also understood that his game was much more suited to the NBA style of play, vs summer league where he was pretty terrible.

I really do hope the Magic figure it out and develop a good team, that franchise has been a mess for years.

To be perfectly honest i would say play style of Hayward in body of Gallinari. Gordon is 6'7 and just moves differently, Its hard to compare 6'10 to 6'7. Regarding comparison to Turkoglu watch some highlights of his p&r passing you will be suprised

They've been becoming a problem for years. Still waiting.

That doesn't even look like a problem on paper...let alone on the court.

I like Wagner though and wanted warriors to get him

Not really, no, or at least not as effortlessly as he does.

That was against the slow-footed MOE Wagner... not his brother Franz. I'm not sure what coach Mosely was thinking with that matchup.

edit: LOL... I see someone else called Moe slow footed
