As someone who's following chess a bit this was incredibly random: Of all the songs that could've been in his instagram story after winning the biggest board game match in the world it's "Here come the Sixers"

Maybe he got earlier insider informations on a possible Simmons trade and thought it was a good reason to celebrate that.

I just googled some random **** and am guessing that Benjamin franklin who was raised in philly i guess liked competing in chess and wrote about it. Also he signed the declaration of independence which obviously is 1776 hence the 76ers song?

Tough to compare, in Chess (more so than even most sports) you build off of the greats before you, though the computer age slightly changes that. Bobby’s run was also much shorter than even Magnus (Bobby obviously exiled himself), but more dominant and he was probably farther ahead of the competition than Magnus. Kasparov has the best case for GOAT still.

well, obviously modern players would beat past players, just more theory and all. But magnus is legit the goat chess player at this point.
