Yeah Wilt nailed so many that his DNA might be in a lot of NBA players

60s/70s rules and Giannis wouldn't score a point while with modern day rules Wilt would have big advantage over Giannis. So I would take Wilt 9/10 times.

Would just imo come down to wilt's handle which I'm sure is better than video might indicate but I think that would be the struggle.

Wilt is clearly better than Antetokounmpo so far.

What is Wilt's prime? Averaging 50/26/2 at age 25? Or averaging 24/24/8 shooting .683 FGA% at age 30?

Of course we don't know what Antetokounmpo's prime will be.

Wilt's peak season was in 1964.

As here is Wilt Chamberlain's incredible 1963-1964 Season

Regular Season
-36.9 PPG (League leader)
-22.3 RPG
-5.0 APG
-52.4% FG
-31.6 PER
-.325 WS/48 (Career-high and league leader)
-14.4 OWS
-10.6 DWS (Career high) *For reference, Olajuwon's career high was 8.7

Also in the playoffs for Wilt

Playoffs
-34.7 PPG (League leader)
-25.2 RPG
-3.3 APG
-54.3% FG
-31.3 PER (Career high and league leader)
-.323 WS/48 (Career high and league leader)
-2.3 OWS (League leader)
-1.5 DWS

Finals (Against the greatest defender ever, Bill Russell)
-29.2 PPG
-27.6 RPG
-2.4 APG
-51.4% FG

His teammates shot a combined 34.8% and the Warriors lost in 5.

Giannis would average 100 in the 60s.

He would foul out by halftime if he played in the 1960s

;t=4s

The Refs today probably call only 35% of travels, carries, double dribbles, and offensive fouls nowadays.

While the refs in the 1960's called almost everything back then because the rules were way stricter

And Wilt still dropped 35+ a night with these rules lol

I think at the highest level, the bigger player usually wins one on one battle. Wilt wasn't much of a shooter, yet I've seen him making midrange jumpshots at will in practise before the game. I don't think handles matter in one on one game at all, Wilt's handles were certainly good enough to not get stripped away.

Wilt wasn't in his prime when Kareem was in his and Wilt held his own. Kareem's offense was/is way better than Giannis could ever dream of having.

Wilt's career average of 45.8 minutes per game in an era of much faster pace is more remarkable than anything else he did on or off the court.

Wilt could handle well enough and is certainly strong enough to back down Giannis time after time. If Giannis hit some threes, it would be close, but nobody's beating Wilt one on one.

Wilt had athleticism that was a long way ahead of Giannis. And Skill set that was farther ahead as well.

Wilt ran the 100meter in under 11 second
Was a high jump campion (vertical of pushing 50 inches)
was a shot put champion
was strong as an ox. There are many stories of him picking 200lb men up with 1 hand. Lifting cards so tires could be changed, etc.

There will never be another freak like Wilt. He is arguably the greatest ATHLETE of all time, not just in basketball.

Giannis is pretty awesome, but Wilt would obliterate him one v one

We all know Wilts numbers are inflated due to pace and mpg. Still stars in the modern era get their shots. Considering his efficiency(plus his efficiency over league average) and his FT rate(despite being bad at shooting them) I can’t see why he wouldn’t average around 30 in his prime. Even some Jordan/Kobe/Harden 35ppg seasons when he felt like it putting up 25 shots per game. We learned there’s sometimes players who can carry that sort of average.
Also hate the gee shucks persona of Giannis. Oreos is milks favorite cookie even in Greece.

It would be the first time Giannis would have ever ran into a player that has the size, speed, and strength advantage over him. I got Wilt
