17 NBA executives ranking their top 5 under 25 players to build around.

Scoring system:
1st = 10 points
2nd = 7 points
3rd = 5 points
4th = 3 points
5th = 1 points

Not that crazy of a list. Dont see why Tatum at 2 is all that crazy of a thing. He is the best perimeter defender on that list (by a wide margin) and he has already been the leading scorer on 2 teams that have made the conference finals.

Its pretty easy to build around a 6'9 wing that plays both sides of the ball really well.

Meh its only been 37 games. I dont even care if he just has a down year either. We have a 4 year sample size of him shooting 46% from the floor and 39% from 3, with no lower of 45% from the floor and 37% from 3.

So he's proven he can score against NBA players and I doubt he just forgot how to shoot. Some star players have random bad shooting years, that isnt too crazy. Now if he has back 2 back years then I think it could be considered a concerning trend. But as of right now, Im just chalking it up to a bad stretch.

And with that said, again the gap between him and everyone else on that list when it comes to perimeter defense is massive. So ya we are still looking at a 6'9 2 way wing who has been a 23 and 26ppg scorer the past years on good efficiency. Plus it was only 2 years ago when he averaged 25/10/5 in the playoffs and they were in a game 6 in the ECF. I get why execs have him #2.

I'm most confused how MPJ is in there. Talent is there but that back is far too scary to "build around."
