I don't think many western conference teams want to help LAL - Maybe the only one that makes sense is Dallas, but I highly doubt they send Zinger + DFS or Brunson for WB, it just ruins their defensive presence (but the salary is available at least). I would hard-pass from every other WC team.

Eastern conference teams like TOR/BOS/NYK/ORL/CLE may have a passing interest, but overall it doesn't play well for them because of what each team has to give up in return - which amounts to multiple players - or that these teams have their 1 guards for the future.

You could say that NYK and BOS could use a lead guard like WB, but for $40+ M WB isn't the right way to answer that question. Boston has to send a lot, and probably Brown or Horford, whereas the Knicks have to send Fournier and a variety of other pieces - it's not the worst idea ever, but it isn't a championship move.

The most I can generate is Love + pieces / Zinger + pieces / Fournier + pieces and that's iffy.

Love and KP are playing numerous tiers above Westy. There isnt a chance in hell CLE or DAL move those guys for Russ.

John Wall. Lol

If I was LA I would seriously consider Wall. Dude is rested and can play slightly better.

Fairly sure at this point Wall wouldn't just be slightly better, he'd be a massive improvement.

it's crazy to think that Houston is paying Wall $44 million not to play. I can't see the Rockets wanting to take Westbrook back but I guess they could just pay him not to play too.

Horford + Smart for Westbrook + Nunn.

Boston would have to try and convince Westbrook to be a 10/10/10 guy and not worry about scoring the ball.

I think he'd get up for a 15-15-15 challenge.

Teams love making lopsided trades to help the Lakers. I'd say they can get almost any player they want

Why in the hell does Dallas do this deal?

They lose the 3 best players & get the 3 worst.

Westbrook and wood are not the worst player in the deal. Be real.

Also this sets them up for massive capspace in the summer or jokic

Does it make sense to say Westbrook is not the worst but the most useless player in this trade? Out of all these players he's the one I would want the least anywhere near my team.

That makes no sense. a walking triple double is not a useless player

Westbrook is a floor raiser. He is just a terrible fit on that lakers team.

Rich Paul will use him to get Simmons to LA. Westbrook Tucker and a bunch of **** picks get it done.

He's also inefficient as a shooter. He takes bad shots. He turns the ball over a lot. He insists on the being the man to take the big shots when there are arguably better scorers on the floor with him.

I can only see Westbrook ever getting traded for John Wall again.

Doncic like Lebron, needs the ball in his hands and the ball would be better off in his hands than in Westbrooks every possession. In the same way he's a terrible fit on the Lakers (and most teams at this point). Why would the Mavs bring in someone who would need to take the ball away from Doncic to be even mildly useful?

Mostly so they sell tickets and load up on capsace in for the summer of Jokic.

The Mavs sell out every game??? That's not a concern for them at all. And Westbrook is a player that fanbases are wary of at this point. He's been traded from OKC to Houston to Washington to LA. Why would they care to buy jerseys for a guy who moves every season cause he fits in nowhere.

So the Mavs would give up the better pieces to obtain capspace for the longshot chance of getting Jokic? That makes absolutely no sense.

Doncic does.

Westbrook worked better with Beal, imo, and would fit better with Doncic as the 2nd guy than on the lakers as the 3rd.

Also, again, this has as much to do with contract as it does with the player. This deal would give Dallas massive capspace in the summer of Jokic.

They would have clean books, sign Jokic to add to luka and have all their own picks and more capspace to round out roster.

But having Jokic and Luka on the same team is insane.
