Surprisingly good trade for the Knicks. That charlotte pick is weirdly protected for a while and Reddish is a promising young wing.

what are the protections? on the surface I like this for the Knicks as well.

first round pick protected top 18 in 2022, top 16 in 2023, top 14 in 2024-25, else 2026 second round pick, 2027 second round pick
Likely ends up being something in the late teens

Basically lottery protected through 2025, at which point it becomes 2 2nds
Which we got from trading the 19th pick in last years' draft, so essentially we traded the 19th pick and Knox for Reddish.
