Are the Nets the most disappointing “super team” ever?
I genuinely can’t remember a more disappointing super team than these Nets. Maybe the last time the Nets tried to build a super team with Williams, Pierce and KG… but that team was so over the hill before they got together, this team has their top 3 guys all in their prime and it’s just a nothing but mediocre effort after mediocre effort

Id say this years Lakers are pretty disappointing. Clippers two years ago also belong in the conversation.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Yeah, I don't even think they're the most disappointing super team this season.
And the Kobe/Dwight/Nash Lakers have to be in consideration here too.

Hardly when this season isn't over yet and they were injured last season.
No harden they were up 2-1 against the eventual champs. Kyrie injured which forced harden who was clearly hobbled to try and come back. Shooting like 15% from 3. And yet were an inch from the finals and probably championship cause kyrie wouldve been back.
Disappointing superteams would be
1. Dwight Nash Kobe
2. This year's Lakers if they get bounced early.
3. shaq-kobe-malone-payton
4. Heatles. Everyone thought the league was over and they would go 5 straight. to expectations 2/4 is a bit of a downer especially when they were decently healthy.
If the nets don't make the finals they jump up to #3 on that list.

This Lakers team won a title, so yeah… gonna have to disagree there.
Clippers definitely should be, but the Nets have more talent past their Top 2 guys than the Clippers do. The Clippers were dumb to tie their hitch to Khawi tho, his injury history was locked in and he clearly was getting tired of playing regular season basketball… especially after the Raptors title, it was hard to see what was going to keep him motivated after winning a title by coasting through a regular season like he did. The Clippers felt like the ultimate “I’m going here to retire” move lol.

Yeah, I’ll agree with that Lakers team tho. That’s probably Top 5 or Top 3 worst.

Why? They took a strong Bucks team to 7 games despite their injuries, and the playoffs haven't started yet this year.
Do people still GAF about the regular season?

I mean if the team was fully healthy and everyone was playing they're fine. Its the injuries/anti-vaccine stance thats costing them. But the 3 guys together playing healthy would be great.
The 3 guys have barely played together, so your point doesn't make any sense.

1. Agreed, top 5 and arguments to be made for higher for sure. Especially with prime Dwight coming in, but his back issues were already a concern by then. Don’t totally agree as THE worst, but totally up for debate.
2. This is nonsense. No one thought this Lakers team would be good, they were the butt of everyone’s joke. Wouldn’t even have this years Lakers in the Top 10 worst list.
3. This is a good one, good placement for it too. Unlike the Dwight Lakers, Malone was still playing great even til his last season. Payton was pretty over the hill, but that team was stacked and should have won.
4. Disagree with Heatles, they won multiple. Just cause they didn’t “6-Pete” doesn’t mean they were disappointing. They definitely don’t deserve to be anywhere near this list or even mentioned. That team did what they were built to do. Any team on the worst “super team” list can’t have won a title with all their top guys together… let alone win multiple! Smdh

They were better than the Bucks even with the injuries. They should have beaten them.
The regular season isn’t that important and there’s definitely teams that take the regular season easy, but this team plays with zero chemistry. I’ve watched them a couple times now and there is absolutely no team play.

Well, that's a matter of opinion. That's why we have basketball games.

We're living through an unprecedented time so I don't think it's fair to judge them right now. Kyrie is going through something that we've never seen before. If they're all playing then we can make a definitive comment.

How? Who really thought this team was going to seriously compete? Literally no one thought Russ was going to be a good fit and everyone correctly pinpointed the age of the roster being a major issue.

LeBron + Westbrick + Street Clothes isn't a super team.
As for the Nets, I wouldn't write them off so fast. If they're healthy when the playoffs come around they can beat anyone.

He could be playing, it’s something he’s willing put himself and his team through… but let’s not get into that.
Besides, even if it was the anti-vaxx stuff, Kyrie would have found some other way to screw over his team. He’s done it with the Cavs and Celtics, no reason he wouldn’t have found a creative way to do it with the Nets anyway even without COVID.

Yeah, I’m shocked how many people are saying this years Lakers. I never considered them a super team.
