Report: LeBron James willing to leave Lakers in order to play with Bronny

This reminds me of when my dad was in DC for work while I was there on an 8th grade field trip. He told his coworkers he was going to go "surprise" me at the Capitol during his lunch. His co-workers had to tell him that most 8th grade boys would not want this and not to do it.

While my dad isn't LeBron James, I still feel like the same principle applies. Sorry, big guy.

Is Bronny even a lock to make it to the NBA?

Brony is only good to play in China. Lebron may have a hard time dethroning Marbury as the goat there.

I honestly don't think Brony is going to be a big time prospect. I just don't see it in his game.

I mean he's already played for the Lakers for 4 years - just as long as his Heat career.

If he left the Lakers, that's okay. Sometimes a 4 year window is all you get.

Oof, I think your dad should've went. Sure it may have been embarrassing but that's a lifelong memory.

Life is too precious, I hope LeBron does go play with Bronny for a season (assuming he can make the NBA). I always remember when Ken Griffey Sr and Ken Griffey Jr hit back to back homeruns, pretty cool moment in sports.

I don't know what's so hard for people to understand about this: Bronny is likely not a lottery or even 1st round prospect. The Lakers will just take him in the 2nd round or sign him as an undrafted FA.

Someone will offer Bronny a contract, on his own merit or as a favour to Lebron.

Certainly not a lock but he's pretty good high school prospect. 247 Sports' Composite Rankings have him as the 34th ranked player in the class of 2023 right now. He's 6'3" and very strong, I think its a good bet that he ends up at one of the flagship college basketball programs. But from there who know.

Assuming lebron is still elite in 2024 then that draft could be hilarious. Similar to teams pandering to giannis by signing his brothers, except this one sounds like drafting bronny all but guarantees getting (40 year old) lebron too.

Bron is going to be officially old at that point and with all the ways he dominates your franchise when he gets there this honestly might be a negative when a team is considering drafting his son.

His son is probably thinking dad, you've had your turn in the limelight can you just let me shine on my own merits without it being about you?

I mean would I draft Bronny with a late first if it meant Lebron signed with me for even a year even at the end of his career?

Of course I would, as would basically every NBA team. Don't overthink this guys. The marketing boon alone makes that a huge win for any team.

As far as Lebron's choices as a parent not for me to judge.

well he's certainly got his fathers athleticism, still too early to tell how well his game would transcend in the league though

If teams believe LeBron is a package deal with Brony, you’d better believe some lottery team will roll the dice. Getting LeBron for 2 years will be worth a player in the 6-14 range, which can be a crapshoot anyway.
