The reward of even just one championship this season with Harden to me is still worth a lot more than the long term asset recuperation you could pull if you were to deal him now. Even if he's told you he hates Brooklyn and will not be re-signing under any circumstances.

Well then Harden will remain with the Nets. This is my opinion but I don't think they do anything major without KD's blessing.

Yeah, no way the Nets move Harden for Simmons at the deadline if KD isn’t on board, which it sounds like he’s not. May be different in the summer, but yeah… not right now.

I was expecting this news. 76ers tried to screw Nets by leaking news that they are reluctant to give up any other player and pick beside Simmons for Harden. Nets will not accept only Simmons for Harden at this time before trade deadline. May be in offseason but not now.
