Might need to start grouping the Blazers with the Kings as the most dysfunctional franchises

Damn... didn't hear the interview but maybe part of that was just the pandemic taking its toll on him? If it wasn't then that's pretty damning.

Brutal. Jody Allen needs to sell this team to someone that cares about basketball.

We're still yet to reach a full calendar year of incompetence. The Kings are going on 20.

I'm a Trent fan and never shy to bash how Olshey used to run that Portland team.
But saying things like Portland had a lack of belief in him and stuff just makes no sense.
The dude was getting 22mpg and 30mpg in the playoffs after being a 2nd round pick in just his 2nd year. He was getting 31mpg in his 3rd year before they traded him. They also offered him a 4/56 deal.
Ya he may not have liked the city, the weather, playing alongside Dame, the coaching staff or other things like that. But saying the team didn't show any belief in him just doesn't seem to fit what actually happened.

You often forgot that family plays a big role in a player's decision sometimes, given that they usually have to uproot their life and move when they get traded.

Yeah, I'm really not sure what the issue was. We never heard anything about this from the Blazers beat writers who follow the team, but maybe they didn't have access to it...? It does make the initial Powell trade make a bit more sense because it definitely came out of left field.
Usually, everyone who has come through Portland has raved about their time there and Dame's leadership.
Regardless, there's definitely something not right going on behind the scenes with the Blazers... it's been pretty rocky ever since Paul passed away.

It’s been really embarrassing to be a blazers fan for a few years now. Not necessarily from a team perspective but an organizational one. It’s clear Allen doesn’t give a **** about this team or it’s fans and looks at this from a purely financial standpoint. Letting Olshey run wild and abuse employees, cutting costs at every chance, McGowan leaving, the Billups hiring and investigation, zero accountability or explanation of the team’s direction and now this. It’s pretty bad all around.
It’s hard to be excited about the teams future knowing who’s at the helm.

Anyone watched him in both places? Did he looked depressed in Portland? Does he look happier now?

This was never mentioned or talked about when he was with Portland. So this is all news to us here too.
Also, WTF is up with Raptor fans **** on Blazers non-stop lately. Why don't you all just bother with your own team... ffs. We know the team is a **** show right now, we don't need ya'll telling us the obvious.

Things have been going downhill fast in Portland. The front office has been a mess with controversies. The team on the court has been a mess. The trades are looking bad and almost every player on that team has only lost trade value since the beginning of the season.
It's been a bad year for the Trailblazers. They need to find a way to reset.

I don't think Raptor fans are trying to pick on Trailblazers specifically. It's just that the recent news has tied into the Powell/Trent trade and now you have GTJ's father making comments. Raptor fans make up the largest group of fans on RealGM and this is just the thing to talk about right now.

Raptor fans have been coming onto the Blazers board too, so they are pretty well targeting Blazer fans, regardless of the reasoning...

Nothing you can do about. If a former player of theirs is tied to you guys Raptor fans will try to rip you to shreds every chance they can get
