Does this change how you view his career?

The trade doesn't but what happens with the Sixers will.

Definitely does not change anything regarding Harden's legacy... but it will once we have the Hindsight 20/20 vision glasses on. This has the potential to go both ways. For league parity and the competition's sake I hope Harden crushes it in Philly

Took Houston to playoffs 8 years in a row going against all the odds is not a career quitter. Being eager to play even averaging 30 mpg in preseason is not a quitter. A league MVP and staying in contention going down the wires vs Steph, Lebron, Giannis for that many years is not a career quitter. Invented moves like step back and side steps which revolutionized the game and all the players and kids are copying those moves, is not a quitter. Willing to take PR nightmares and sacrificing the “good guy” image just to chase a ring, is not a quitter.

Yet sitting in front of a keyboard repeating the narratives ESPN talking heads are specialized in, is kind of a real life quitter. Lazy and cowardish.

Yeah I am sticking my neck out and voicing my unpopular opinion. IDGAF.

Not a winner.
Will be remembered tho for the Step back 3 spam, foul baiting to the line, Stripclubs, and the beard honestly.

In his prime the most efficient volume scorer since Jordan

Look at how many times hardens name appears here on the top 100 games in nba history

https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/game_score.html

Also was the prototype for the slow, and smart but yet unstoppable player. And the reason Luka, trae adopted his style and why fultz and cade went number 1 overall

But whining to go to a specific team (with KD) getting it, then forcing out doesnt make him a quitter?

Was the best guard in the league from 2013 to 2021 arguably.

Scored the most points in the 2010’s decade

He is one lazy MF.... Still can't get over that CP3 trade. He made Morey trade Chris Paul for Russell Westbrook because Paul was on his ass all the time (and that was main reason they were contender and only team that challenged Durant/Steph Warriors). They went from championship contender to playofcontender because he didn't want to train hard or play hard... he is just a ...beeep....
