So excited to have Cj here. He’s a such a perfect fit for this team and city. A perfect fit anywhere, but really going to be a jolt for this franchise I think.

Gonna root for him in NO. Good dude who did a splendid job of representing the team over the years. Hope he can find a way to finish his career in Portland.

Very touching and classy. You could truly feel the impact and emotions in that article that describes a wonderful journey that C.J. went through in Portland. Hopefully things go well in New Orleans and he can help turn around a struggling franchise. For him to get from Lehigh to the NBA and to have a 10+ year career has been impressive.
Most important part was that he was able to separate the personal from the professional and realized that it's important to never burn bridges no matter where you're at.

pelicans gonna be a problem when Z comes back with this playmaking around him. Also excited to see CJ play more PG on offense.

I always enjoyed watching CJ play and he is a class act for sure. That 2019 run was a rollercoaster and I’ll never forget his great play in the 2nd round vs Denver. CJ worked so hard and became not only a solid player but a good leader too. Great article and I was going to post it myself before I saw this thread.

It sucks that Zion is fat and doesn't care about basketball anymore or the Pelicans would have a pretty good team.

There are some - myself included - who think CJs best basketball is still in front of him.
Do your thing CJ, we see you

Nothing but respect.
i always liked him (actually much more than Lillard but that's another story nobody cares), even if he was not the best player to pair with Lillard in the backcourt obviously. But it has more to do with Oshley.
I cant wait to see how he will plug into NO. We will see if he will finish his career in Portland, that would be a nice little story in a few years.

Thanks for sharing, enjoyed the part about his watch, it's interesting that he was so conscious of not ending up on a documentary and the part about visiting Nurkic at home
Nice to read something positive about a player and team parting ways with no ill feeling, it's like the anti Simmons/Harden trade
