Dude was always highly underrated.

I thought he was quite good that 2nd to last season in Memphis. If he's stayed in shape he could be a real difference maker, interested to see where he goes.

I think he is quite a difficult fit,as a ball-dominant scorer, below average shooter/ defender. I think Cleveland can use him as a bench scorer, ditto for Nets (especially in home games) and Chicago as a back-up to DeMar

He doesn't shoot 3s well enough for a guard so he can't be good

He was a 38% 3 point shooter on 4 attempts over his last 4 seasons in the league. Was shooting 40% on 5.5 attempts per game in his second to last season (his last season I'm ignoring because he was clearly in a bad place).

That being said, he's 32, and he's been out of the league for 3 years now and his last year he was terrible. He will get a chance somewhere, but I would be surprised if he is an impact maker for anyone this season.

Any news like this just screams Lakers to me. They’re the most desperate for some kind of gamble/roster shake up.

I can guarantee he will be better than Westbrick for the Lakers.

Would've been nice if the NBA announced this before we traded for LeVert.

Dude had to take drugs just to stay in the league, he wont be able to play without them. Nobody will pick him up.

What kind of drugs was he doing that he was out that long?

He wasn't banned for performance enhancing drugs. He was banned for testing positive for a "drug of addiction". I'm going to assume it's cocaine, it could possibly also be meth or heroin. Heroin seems unlikely. Has anybody heard or has it been revealed what drug he tested positive for?
