he didnt have a layup there without charging, not that he would have gotten called for it
probably didnt have the lift to even finish it with his bum knee

Damn... lebron had an easy reverse layup or he could have tried to power through like he usually does. #CheckedOut #IsThisYourKing #Joking

Lol, I don't know what kind of basketball you play, but I'm not sure what shot he was supposed to attempt there

If the Lakers won, would this be a thread?
Sam Hinkie gets removed from the league for enacting a plan approved by the fanbase yet NIco Harrison and Patrick Dumont keep their job for alienating their fanbase. Make it make sense.

He was able to pad his stats even more with the overtime though. More important than the win. (sarcasm)

Obviously not considering if this play was successful they would of won the game.

the 'lebron that should be' would have gone up for the facial jam in that situation.

Lol no one's buying that. Acknowledge that he couldn't do much else there or stick to your guns and say he had a layup if he wanted it, but don't go right to "it was a joke".

Anyway, probably LeBron's worst game of the year. He should have played that possession differently to begin with, but it in the moment it was a super tough reverse layup or a good Melo look, easy decision.

He had Westbrook (and Reaves) wide open for the layup but was already too committed to the Melo pass.

Lol, if old LeBron pulled that off I would be extremely impressed, no doubt. But I would expect an air ball layup on such an attempt

Ok relax Roman Reigns I am not acknowledging anything  IDC what anyone is buying. Especially since this is routine for Lebron to pass up moments like this. If he continued to drive and tried to score I feel like that would of gave them a better shot at winning then to ditch it to Melo.

Young Lebron didn't really finish like that either. Lebron is a straight ahead, type of finisher, he hasn't displayed the type of creativity or agility around the basket like an Erving, Jordan, or Kobe. This is why he tends to pass the ball out in these moments, if he doesn't get the step and a clear lane to the basket, he will end up passing the ball.....

Cringe that you would think I care if people on the internet agree with me or not

The thread title was a JOKE. Him passing up the final shot like usual no I am not joking there. He should of took it, but he didn't and your hero lost in OT to the rockets.

Does look like he should've just gone straight at the hoop without crossing under the basket, tbh. Maybe he didn't want to be fouled.
