First of all I want to be clear that I don't mean to troll or hate.
But damn! Philly fans are really something else. Tonight they started with booing Ben Simmons and rightfully so. Then they turned around and booed their own team who got blown out. Crazy.
Is there any other city with more unforgiving fans?

Look here, bredren... You gotta be from Philly to understand.
Mofos from Philly is hella proud, but get their feelings hurt real easy, too. When things aint going good and players don't play like they got mad heart and rep the city, well, it's almost like an affront to the fans.

Honestly think almost any fan base would boo Simmons in the same situation, and would boo their team for getting the brakes beat off them by 30 in a game that was obviously important to the fans.
But to answer your question, Eastern European and South American soccer fans, by far.

I think the north east starting as far south as DC even and going all the way up to Boston. That stretch is filled with many many passionate sports fans. When passion mixes with alcohol and you get encouraged by the culture being accepted, it all starts to build on itself. If you have a night out in this part of the country you get the feeling that anything can happen at any moment. There is energy everywhere

I remember when Raymond Felton played for the Blazers in the lock-out season about 10 years ago or so. He came in out of shape and really sucked, Blazer fans would boo him years after that whenever he came to Portland.
This wasn't even a case of a star player having issues or demanding a trade, just an out of shape Felton that played a bit poorly.

PHI fans get a bit of a bad rap; they are passionate about their teams but have high standards.
When their team falls short of those expectations, PHI will express their disappointment with a clarity not often seen.

It can work both ways. If Westbrook played well they would protect Westbrook’s family with the same passion like when they threatened Kobe’s rape accuser.

If every basketball fan had passion, high standards and clarity I don't think I'd wanna watch basketball anymore.
