Why do so many Lakers fans hate LeBron?

It seems like half of the LeBron hate on here comes from Lakers fans. The Lakers were garbage for a number of years, then LeBron came and led them to a championship in his 2nd year. Why is there so much vitriol towards him from the fanbase when he won a championship so quickly? As a Bulls fan, I would kill for another championship. The guys who won it would be immortalized. I just don't understand it.

They're infactuated with another player. Those are the ones that *USUALLY* don't like Lebron the most and try to bump their guy into conversations he doesn't belong in.

1/2 the Laker fans on this site are Kobe fans moreso Laker fans, and ALL Laker fans are Kobe fans, deservedly so, Kobe is a Laker legend.

Kobe fans and Lebron fans have it out for each other. It's hard to Kobe/Laker fans to welcome Lebron. When things are good he's alright, when **** hits the fan which it has during this season, they will turn on him. Doesn't mean Lebron has been bad by any stretch, he's been a top 5 player this season.

Lakers are a legendary franchise. If Shaq wasn't immune to criticism who won them 3 championships(where Kobe was the second fiddle), with 2 MVP, and 3 FMVP then Lebron certainly isn't immune to criticism either.

they won 20 championships think about it. a crappy title mostly won with mercenaries hardly counts if you win every other year.
hes not even a top 10 laker so its okay to treat him as a outsider and hate him. he holds little value to lakers franchise history.
a title is a title but its way different if you win as wolve or king compared to lakers. if your a laker, your expected to be a dynasty team. anything below is a failure. lebron is already is in 4th yr and won only 1 lakers would have easily won without him.

He was established and out of his prime when he went there. He was already a legend for two other franchises.
Not as exciting as seeing a young player come up on your squad.

He ruined the Lakers chance at being competitive this year and is refusing to take responsibility for it. I don't blame Lakers fans for being annoyed at this point.

They will never love you if you don't show them loyalty. I'm not defending their behaviour, but don't get the LeBron fans that follow him mixed up with Lakers fans.

It is a weird position for a fan when their star player starts separating themselves from the collective responsibility of the teams performance.

The reason is simple.

Lebron is the most unlikeable superstar in sports history. He's incredibly fake, manufactured, and selfish. Lebron only cares about Lebron and will use anyone to try and prop himself up.

Even Kobe, with his huge ego, never came out and said "That right there makes me the greatest ever" like Lebron did about the 2016 finals.

Lebron is a never ending factory of cringe.

He is the BIGGEST front runner I've ever seen in sports. And it's not just about basketball.

Lebron will front run politics if it means it will help his brand. Remember the China thing? Lebron quick to run his mouth on EASY political stances in america, but when it hurts his bottom line $$$$, he defends China.

I can go on and on. His passive aggressive twitter comments, his fake personality, his stat padding, everything.

Because Lebron is only loyal to himself and he has put the Lakers in the position they are in right now. Anyone with half a brain could have seen this coming.

How has Lebron left every other franchise he has been on...did he leave those franchises in better or worse positions......

Because most of them aren't actual Laker fans. They never were. They could LARP all they wanted to, keeping up the charade but then...a certain somebody came into town. True colors came out.

Before Bron went to LA, I can't think of a time when I've seen such a large proportion of a team's "fanbase" actively rooted against and/or even down-played their own squad's success before.

And we know why...it's been a heated debate for YEARS. Bron vs. Kobe.

They are Kobe stans. Simple as that.

Yeah he's incredibly Narcissistic and knew he was leaving way before informing any members of the Heat organization.. but man is a top 2-3 player ever. His jersey will be going up in the Heat rafters since Riley, Wade etc still rave about him.

Mostly this. Fans who are more Kobe fans than Laker fans who started hating LeBron once it was clear he had surpassed Kobe all-time. The odd thing is there was never an actual rivalry between the two.

So Laker fans are about winning championships...that's with a "s". Missing the playoffs...losing in the first round...is unacceptable.

Lebron-stans think winning one title gives Lebron a pass to lead a crappy team the rest of the time......
