Sixers beat the Heat with no Harden/Embiid, on 2nd night of B2B

Let's talk about how incredible the Sixers supporting cast is. The two superstars in Philly are surrounded by players who can step up, on the 2nd night of a B2B, and beat the best team in their conference.

Other Superstars would love for their team to be able to beat anything but bottom 5 teams without them, what a luxury Embiid and Harden have.

Great win, Sixers fans! Your squad looked great, ball was moving really well (26 assists tonight, 3 more than their average), only 14 free throw attempts, it was actually a fun game to watch.

I couldn't believe it - I grabbed Sixers at +4 this morning and chalked it up as a loss when Embiid was out, and forgot about it after Harden was declared out.

1) Sixers probably had their best game of the season because everyone got to play to potential
2) Playoffs

Maxey maxxed out.

Heat have been less than optimal as they integrate new players.

Bam many turnovers.

It's one game, who cares really.

If the Sixers supporting cast actually played like this on a regular basis, they'd easily be favorites in the east. Unfortunately they usually play like sh*t (Not Maxey of course)

I know this is a troll attempt, but let me bite. We have one of the worst benches in the game, which everybody (except you) mentions when referring to our supporting cast. We are worst 5 in the league for PPG for the bench. One game doesn’t change anything.

This is how the sixers should play in the playoffs but Harden and Embiid will disrupt this chemistry so enjoy the outlier, philly.

i really dont get how jimmy butler and demar derozan skirt foul baiting criticism when they do many of the same things as the two stars on philly.

Anybody who thinks our bench is good is clearly not watching our team. I find it hard anybody would think that, outside of those bench players’ immediate families.

I’m a sixers fan. These regular season games can be fun especially when teams don’t have top end players. Short handed teams have nothing to lose. So play loose

The same happen the opposite direction in December and Miami without butler or bam came in and beat A pretty healthy sixers team at the time.

Maxey is gonna to get paid big time if he continues like this. Thank u cp3 for having an injury free 2019-2020 season with okc. Thank u Mike Muscala for hitting that game winning shot for okc. Or else sixers end up with (2) 2nd round picks instead of Maxey. Basically the trade was fultz for okc 21st over first round 2020 draft pick.

If the sixers bench or role starting players can even hit 30% consistently from 3 point range (well below the nba average). Sixers will win the nba title.

Problem is their bench ends up shooting the 20-29% range in many of their losses.

The pick was top 20 protected.

Yes. Okc keeps the pick if Mike Muscala missed that shot

Without Embiid and Harden guys who actually show up in the clutch got the ball down the stretch...

Your bench may be bad, but Harris, Thybulle and Maxey are capable of being stars on any night. That's the "supporting cast" I'm referring to, not specifically your bench.

If your 3 other starters are able to carry that "trash bench", then they're clearly also helping inflate the MVP chances of Embiid.

Was the game tonight not more fun for you to watch without seeing Harden/Embiid shoot 30+ FTA?

Miami probably saw who was out and mailed it in thinking they can win without effort, then spend all game trying to match but can't do it. happens every time

I don't know how good they are, since this was one game.

Milton had 20 pts on 9/18, and Korkmaz had 18 pts on 7/12. So they got 48 pts on 16/30 from those two players coming off the bench. don't think they can expected that level of production, even scaled down to fewer minutes from those guys on a nightly basis.
