08’ Hornets

18’ Rockets
22’ Suns

Not bad.

If he managed to get on LA with Kobe he would have a ring 100%

2 killers on the same team.

They probably would have killed each other over who got to have the ball in their hands

If Chris Paul has a fault, it was that he often deferred too much to his secondary, often undersized ball handler - Jarrett Jack, Jamal Crawford, Eric Bledsoe, Cam Payne.

He's never been a ball hog.

CP3 has helped resurrect 4 teams to franchise highs. As a PG he is one of the smartest BBIQ players in history. Take a bow Chris Paul. 8-)

I think he is a better player than lebron in terms of making others better. guy proved me wrong after deron williams/harden era.
the only thing thats stopping him is injuries. one of few guys that you cant fault for not having a ring.
his only gripe is not getting drafted by the warriors would have been interesting if steph switched place.

Yet still ringless. After blowing that 2-0 lead in the finals last year, he's definitely cemented himself as a choker. I still probably rank him as a top-3 PG all-time though.

the other main drawback with Paul is size. Imagine if he was 6'6"

The Rockets were already good when he got there (he helped make them great). The other three teams he well and truly resurrected. A very impressive career that just needs a championship.

Well I wouldn't call Houston a "resurrection".
They were already a 50+ win team and a conference finalist which he knew personally.
But if his hamstring held up you could all but guarantee he'd have a ring already.

Houston would have had a title if he was never traded. Let that sink in.

Extremely hard for undersized point guard to drag a team to a championship as the best player, especially when you have played the majority of your career in a very strong Western Conference.

If he was 6'3 or 6'4 I would say his career would have likely featured a few championships.

So what he has done is really incredible.

Those “lob city” teams with Doc “overrated” Rivers and overrated teammates (Griffin, DeAndre, Jamal) wasted CP3’s prime. If he was on another team he’d at least have another finals appearance by now.

Oh I don't think he's a ball hog as such, although he is definitely a fan of pounding the rock rather than pushing the tempo.

Despite their high IQs for the game, I don't think CP's play style or Kobe at that age are really built to be flying off screens for catch and shoot opportunities, and the stand back and taking turns approach of Lebron + DWade wouldn't quite work as neither were as physically imposing at that point.

Impressive, didn't know that, definitely no denying the the man is a winning player. Also definitely no denying that he gets injured at inopportune times, and being just 6'0 tall limits some of his ultimate impact. Still, regardless of that, very impressive.

i strongly believe he chose to come to Phoenix because he saw the potential of the Suns core as a better version of lob city.
