I do find it funny that when Trae does something no one else has done or ties a record with an all time great it gets zero mention on here. As if the regular GB poster just prays no one will mention the elephant in the room. If he played anywhere else half the topics on the GB would be about him.

It's not about hypoocrisy, it's fandom. Why would a fan of any other team/player go out of his way to praise an opposing player? Unless you meant to call the neutral basketball fans hypocritical, i don't get it.

I don't know, didn't you just post this in a thread that did just that: mention it on here when Trae did something that only few (in this case one ATG) has done before?

And wasn't there just recently a thread about Trae having the chance leading the league in both total points and assists?

Also, what's holding you back in mentioning all the great stuff? Why should everybody else do it for you?

On topic: I'm impressed. Would have expected Luka to be on the list as well but 2,500 assists are pretty hard to get.

If he were on the lakers he would be first team all NBA with this performance
Instead, he's fighting for third team this year, the disrespect is real.

I guess I'll give you PER, haven't looked at that one if a long time.

And actually he's moved up a few stats from even 2 weeks ago. Most still indicate strongly that he's more likely a 3rd team guy, but I'll give you that PER, WS/48 and RPM have all adjusted him up. Most other metrics rank him around 6-7 among guards. And nobody is going to start caring about the assist/point leader thing. You can spam that forever, we don't care when it comes to rankings or all nba.

Excellent offensive stats but when he stops being a curtain on the defensive end, then yes he stands a chance. Again nice one-side-of-ball stats and it is good to show off your fandom, but 9th in the East is not going to cut it to get First Team. Third team seems about right.

1st team all-nba worthy of offense dragged down by poor defense and less than ideal team record, 2nd team all-nba possible, 3rd team most likely.

These whiny claims that someone isn't getting enough credit are just embarrassing.

Whenever Beal made 3rd team, this is the same situation for Trae. I would not put him over Luka, CP3, Booker, Curry or Ja. Those guys have better records with their teams as well.

Well deserved. Also like you soften the tone a bit - he is certainly one of the best guards in the nba.
