Memphis is going a problem for the rest league for years to come. I don't see them making the finals this year due to their youth,but damn this is really deep from top to bottom.

NBAs last few of the regular season games are around 80% of clown show. OKC vs Lakers put up show of washed up Howard and Monk as the biggest stars vs OKCs D-league team. 2 D league teams battling it out and ticket prices probably started from 200$ in stables center.
I don't know but there already is the play in but the weighted last few games would be kinda interesting as well. Win being worth of 2 wins or like that.

i know inflated scoring is good for the casual viewers but at some point they have to give the defenders some tools. the game is just comically out of balance in its current state

First off, damn the Grizzlies are nuts. That was the highest scoring quarter in 32 years.
Other thought: does this change our take that the "current state" of the NBA led to this scoring outburst? All the other highest scoring quarters happened in other eras...

Yup.
At this point I almost don't even want to count the scoring numbers for players in this game. They're devoid of meaning.
Every other week we have someone dropping 50. Everynight someone is dropping 40. It's boring.

Memphis is underrated which is crazy lol. Their next few seasons are going to be interesting with all the assets they have.. they're going to have to make some big decisions.
