Who advances to play the Clips/Wolves loser?

The Pels were playing really well a few weeks ago.

Voted for the home team.

I think it'll depend on health. New Orleans is talented, but I don't think the Spurs are scared of them. But Murray is coming back from an illness, Walker's bad is hurt, and Vassell seems to be missing games. The Pels aren't going to be at full strength, but there's a big difference when Ingram is playing well.

I would give NOP the edge if everyone who can be expected to play does. But it's a game Pop can win with a great gameplan.

Assuming everyone is healthy and BI is back it's hard to see anyone else but the Pelicans as significant favorites, especially with HCA. But it's single game elimination + both teams are close enough talent wise so the Spurs can still win like a third of the time.

Pelicans win this easy.

Yeah cus the outlier blowout where the Spurs shot horribly and scored 10 points in the first is indicative of how this game will play out

Are the spurs trying/interested in winning this game? I just figured they kind of accidentally ended up in the playins but would have been fine being in the lottery this year.

Man if we make the playoffs we drop out of the draft lottery entirely… from 9 or 10 to 15. Would be brutal tbh.

Spurs still keep the lottery pick if they win this game. They lose the lottery pick if they beat the loser of the 7th vs 8th seed which would be brutal. I'm rooting for the Spurs to lose this game and not advance. Ultimately I see no point in playing a series with the Suns in which they get swept and get nothing out of it.

Yea brain fart, that’s what I meant. I agree, it’s in our best interest to lose this one. Don’t play with fire.

Pelicans favored by 5 points. i think Spurs can make it close but ultimately wins, but only against the spread.

And the Pelicans came right back and lost to the spurs the following week

And lost 3 of the 4 matchups

2 of them with CJ

Hope Spurs, but expect the Pelicans will win it. CJ’s playoff experience will be the X factor between two pretty playoff inexperienced rosters.

Pelicans win this then lose to the Clippers who will easily crush Minnesota

Spurs were a bad matchup for Pels since we don't have any defenders in backcourt. We will probably need to have Herb on Murray this time.
I hope Ingram is back and fully healthy.

I think if everyone healthy it is 50-50 matchup, and i would maybe even give an advantage to Spurs because of coaching expirience.

I can't believe we are talking about teams WAY below 500 having a chance to get into the playoffs. And on the other end the T Wolves having a chance to miss. It would be a tragedy to see Spurs get in over the Wolves who are 10 games above 500

This is the least interesting of the 4 play in games, even if by some miracle one of these teams makes the playoffs, it will be a quick 4 game exit.
