Does Lavine resign, or who will poach him?

Post#1 » by kobe tier » Thu Apr 14, 2022 11:37 pm

Lavine looks like the top free agent this offseason.

Who do you see possibly being in the game for his services?
Does he resign to be the number 2 to Demar?

Would the Lakers trade AD for him?

If Chicago gives him five years, he will stay. If not, I think he leaves.

him re-signing is likely the overwhelming favorite. If he was to move in a sign and trade, I think he'd look great in Toronto alongside Barnes, Siakam and OG but my fellow Raps fans disagree.

Other options: Utah for Mitchell if Mitchell asks out though I doubt Lavine agrees to a contract there. Lakers for AD? Denver for Murray and some pieces?

It's re-sign. To resign is to quit. Just sayin

But as a Bulls fan I'm conflicted for sure. I love Zach and he was the only thing worth watching for the last few years. But he's really not a true MAX guy and has never came even close to having the impact on winning of a true MAX guy. His next contract will have zero potential of being a bargain and a high potential of turning into an albatross.

I will be shocked if he wasn't a Bull next year.

The Bulls are going to have to overpay for a player who's clearly not a max-level player.

If I'm Chicago, I let him walk. He's improved a lot but not to the point where they can rely on him next to Derozan. He's not worth Max Money. I'm just not sure where he goes right now if the season were to start today. Maybe Dallas, who can shore up his defensive issues and be a different type of scorer next to Luka?

*Maybe Washington if they want to get some value for Bradley Beal?

He’s a good third wheel on a championship caliber roster.

Not sure there are many teams out there that fit this criteria.

If he’s your #1 or #2, you’re not much more than a pretender.

How would the dallas -chicago trade look?

Jalen Brunson + Davis Bertans for Lavine + Coby White ?
Psychotic. It didn’t make sense. I don’t know how you make it make sense

27/5/5 on 50/42/85 last year, 24ppg on 61 TS% this year. Doesn't have the impact of a true 5 year max guy though.

If they don't re-sign him what direction are they going in? DeMar turns 33 this off season. Zach has always been a professional and I don't think even a max becomes untradeable barring a catastrophic injury.

He will resign. He may not be worth the max but Bulls will seriously regress without him on the roster. If they want to compete next year, he needs to be on the team while other pieces get moved. The window is small, I'm just terrified for his knees.

Hmmm yeah at first glance but what do you do with Trent Jr then?

Bill Simmons mentioned, Harden for LaVine trade if things go south in Philly.

If he doesn't stay in Chicago I'd like to see him in San Antonio. He'd make a kick ass back court alongside Dejounte.

Keep dreaming. Harden's extension is already the worst contract in the league and it hasn't even happened yet.

Zach will re-sign for the max with the Bulls 100%. Whether he is in AKME's long term plans is yet to be seen but he will at least be re-signed to be a trade piece later on.
