Pelicans are the team to root for but Suns should be able to finish it in six games at most

The one team of the four play-in teams I did not want to face. Pelicans are underrated because they have constantly had one of their main guys out.

Suns are going to have to really focus on the glass.

If the Suns can’t beat the Pelicans, then they simply weren’t going to make a run this year.

It’s the playoffs, it shouldn’t be easy…but there’s a clear better team in this series.

we take 1, MAYBE 2 games without Zion. If he comes back, we still probably lose, but could maybe push them to the brink which is enough wish fulfillment for someone that wants the pels to shine in the 1st round and still have CP win the chip this year

I think this one goes six, the Suns have been so good this year but the Pels matchup well with them.

CJ vs CP
Ingram vs Booker
Valencunias vs Ayton
Jones vs Bridges

That’s your marquee matchup

That logic doesn't make any sense. That's acting as if there aren't beneficial matchups and poor matchups. And no where did I said it needed to be easy.

I don't know how being a better team logic doesn't make any sense. People are overanalyzing way too much. It's just a matter of the Suns going out and proving they are the better team, which they are.

That’s your marquee matchup

CJ = CP (though CP likely will have more impact exposing Valanciunas D on the perimeter)
Ingram > Bridges (Mikal scores 8 less points on 7 less shots, so not that big of a difference)
Valencunias < Ayton (if Ayton shows same play as in last playoffs clearly a Suns advantage)
Jones << Booker

The logic that I was referring to is losing to one team means they were never going to do anything in the playoffs.

Plenty of better teams lose because the opponent just matches up perfectly. That's what I was referring to.

Again, no where in my post did I say the Suns were going to lose. Or that the Pelicans were better than the Suns. I simply said this is the one matchup I didn't want and that the Suns will have to focus on rebounding.

That's fine as we don't want the team losing focus by having a cakewalk in first two rounds.

That's ridiculous, team has been focused since day one. But whatever helps you sleep.

Who knew simply saying I did not want to pull Pelicans in the first round would be such a crazy opinion.

Maybe don't use such statements like "don't make sense" and "ridiculous" when your takes make even less sense. Yeah, worse teams beat better teams here and there, in most cases because the better team didn't take the other team too seriously or lost focus.
