Blake sucks since he's too small to play C and cant shoot or defend enough to play PF. However, Aldridge can still ball offensively. I guess the Nets care more about their defense at that position, which is why you don't see them play.

They are small too with no BS out there.... they could use some size inside because Boston dominated the paint and on the boards in game 1.... Drummond played small with just 4 rebounds in his 18 minutes and of course not much paint protection either from him. I'm surprised that at least one of those guys doesn't at least play the 7 or 8 MPG that KD will sit out each night as the backup PF.

Yeah, what the hell is Nash thinking? He should bench Claxton and Brown for those two guys the rest of the series.

I thought the Nets did relatively well defensively last year with Blake at C. Much better than most thought they would. But I think he's further declined this year and isn't a plus on offense. He's basically washed.

Surprised that Aldridge didn't get any run while I'm also amazed that Horford played 41 mins.

Nothing about today's game had me thinking, "Blake and Aldridge really should be getting minutes right now."

They were showing their age all year and both barely played over the last month of the season. Neither shoot the 3 well and neither move their feet or defend well. Really have no fit with this team now. Right now the only reason some might expect them to play is because of name recognition only.

In all honesty, the guy that they can use the most at the moment is Ben Simmons. Go with a small ball lineup with KD and Simmons as the two biggest guys (Boston is going to beat them on the boards regardless who they play). Toss Simmons on Tatum and give KD a break on the defensive end as much as possible. Ben is a good rebounder and an elite perimeter defender.

Then just have Simmons playing the 5 spot on the offensive end. Throw a little of a PnR with him in there as well. But ya having a 6'10 elite defensive player that you can throw on guys like Tatum or Brown would be huge for them in this series.

It's a damn shame to see how fast Blake fell off. Young Blake was a freak of nature and fun to watch.

Aldridge feels like the kind of guy you put in for a game 3/5, maybe even to start, and he gets you a solid 20 points before the Celts adjust and he’s gone. Great series usually involve shuffling the lineup game to game.

Griffin is always carrying a bunch of old injuries, something probably flared up. He was good last year against the Bucks.

I don't know what state LMA is in, he has his own health issues, and when you're 36 on top of that...

Same reason the Cs didn't play Al Horford. Oh wait...

Ring chasing is embarrassing and humiliating at times but, some say the ring makes up for the DNP-CD's & garbage time mins along the way.

Sad for Blake, I think he retires after this year. Maybe another team will pick him up, but it ain’t looking good.

Yup, Mo Speights used to thrive in that role.

Al Horford is still a useful player, Blake and Aldridge have broken down.

Blake would give the Nets a spark in limited minutes and bring energy, Alderige would provide offensive support but is bad defensively. Both Brown and Claxton are currently better players, but agree that the Nets got outmuscled tonight.

Aldridge can still get points, but he's better in spot minutes at this point. Blake is simply done, he has been terrible this season. I would be surprised if he didn't retire at the end of the season.
