The Utah Jazz are done
I'm sorry, but this team is playing with no heart whatsoever and they are getting their butts handed to them by a Dallas Mavericks team that features role players and no Luka Doncic. Downright sad. Dovovan Mitchall has shown he can't carry a team as the 1st option and sure hasn't looked like playoff Mitch that everyone hyped him to be a couple of years ago. Rudy Gobert has mostly been ineffective. Mike Conley is showing his age big time in this series. Jordan Clarkson has been fine, but not special. Bojan Bogdanović has been good at socring, but he shouldn't be your second option on offense. At this point, just rebuild already.Trade Mitchall for some young guys and 2-3 1st round picks (I have been hearing that the New York Knicks may be interested in him,so maybe they should ask for RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin, Mitchel Robinson and 2-3 first rounds picks in exchange for Mitchell). Also trade Gobert and try to get more 1st round picks for him. Get rid of Conley and also trade Bojan. Fire Quin Sydner as well. There's no way in hell the Jazz should keep this core of players after this season is over, unless they are content with medicority and 1st round exits every season.

Mitchell is best suited as a second option.

Re: The Utah Jazz are done
They were the 2nd oldest team in the league this year (behind only the Lakers).
If they're not winning now then they're going to have to take a step or two back at least even if they don't go for a full rebuild.

While you're right, I doubt Mitchell will ever come to terms with that, and it's going to cause him to eventually leave Utah.Blazing_royale wrote:Mitchell is best suited as a second option.

Hell no. They beat alot of legit contenders, Hofers and made b2b finals. They were a legit core.

The Jazz have rolled out essentially the same team for nearly seven years in a row. It hasn't ever worked.

We knew that they were fraudulent as soon as Gobert getting exposed in the Playoffs against teams that goes small became a thing. Jazz are a classic regular season team.

Re: The Utah Jazz are done
Utah should be a good team, but they are built for the reg season. When you invest that much into a defensive anchor that becomes a liability in the playoffs, you've already made too many roster mistakes.
Every other defensive player has an aspect that makes them 2 way. Smarts scoring has improved, plus he can shoot, even if it's not pretty all the time. Draymond isn't an offensive 2 way threat, he's a playmaking/defending 2 way. Rudy is a true specialist, and those types of players are losing value every season that goes by. And he's one of their max contracts.
Mitchell has all the tools to be a star in this league, but I think he needs a different secondary all star.

No they havent. They retooled completely and became a spread pick and roll team recently. Their offense was horrific before getting Bojan, Conley and Clarkson. They were much more of a one dimensional defensive team before. Now they cant defend anymore.

Re: The Utah Jazz are done
It's really embarrassing how they're struggling against this Mavs team without Luka. Guess the Mavs aren't as heliocentric around Luka after all...
There's just no more chemistry with this Jazz team, and they are extremely flawed. Gobert and Mitchell don't even seem to like each other; their relationship is what the media thought Tatum and Brown's was lol. One or both of them should be dealt away.
With Ainge at the helm, he'll probably gut this entire roster and sell off all the parts for as many draft picks as he can.

I'm rooting for them to get swept. Let D-Mitch demand a trade and pair him up with SGA.
