While everyone's piling on KD/Nash/Kyrie/etc., and deservedly so, I have to give some props to Ime Udoka for the job he's doing coaching this Celtics team.

He's made them tougher, physically and mentally, throughout the season, and its showed during this series. They respond to every big shot, they play physical as hell, they contest everything, and they don't let you have anything easy.

His defensive gameplan on Durant has him looking like a local YMCA recruit, and the way the team rotates and helps on defense is amazing.

So impressed with the mentality he's implemented in this team, the way they execute on defense, and their "f-you" attitude.

I love seeing Black coaches succeed. It's just so cool to me

It would be perfect if a season from hell for the Lakers ended with Boston winning another title. Make them suffer even more.

Hes def given us toughness. Brad was terrific xs and os and the little details which is why hes excelled at putting this team together. Getting White, bringing back Horford and Theis, pushing for Grant to get drafted. But Brad just didnt have that fire and anger. It always felt too mellow......

I truly believe it took him half the season to break a lot of bad habits the players had under Stevens. Tatum and Brown wanted tougher coaching which Udoka has no problem doing. I’m still surprised it has come together so soon though.

Absolutely. Brad Stevens was the most overrated coach of his (relatively brief) era, and by the time he left, the level of underperformance and lack of cohesion was through the roof. It’s so impressive how Ime has cleaned up the mess he was left and finally harnessed Boston’s talent. They are as in it as any team.

Goes to show he's the complete coaching package. Pretty smart X's and O's guy AND has the respect of his peers/players in the locker room. Seems like coaches nowadays are hired for one or the other, but honestly the best coaches can do both.

I always wanted Bud, but I always wanted Udoka more.

Took him way too long to get a shot, and it's a perfect group of young, two-way wings that are buying in. WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE **** BOSTON THO???

The nets had him on their bench too lol.
