Who do you have?

This should be interesting to see what stats people value here offensively.

Defense is not in the discussion here, mind you.

It's as close as it gets, but I prefer Magic offensively.

When Jordan was forced to play point guard for a stretch of time, I think it was like 1987-88 season, I think he averaged a triple double during that time.

I love Magic but he can't score like Jordan could. Magic is the better passer, of course, but MJ could pass when he wanted to.

Jordan played in an offense designed to take the ball out of his hands. In the 3 seasons before the triangle he put 37/5/5, 35/6/6, and 33/8/8.

Magic played in an offense designed to get him the ball all the time.

Theres no good argument for Magic, and he would tell you so himself. Anyone who says otherwise is trying too hard to be a special snowflake

He did that in 1988/89 season, while anchoring +1.3 offense. Sure, it's a nice triva but I fail to see what it proves.

This. There is no argument whatsoever. Certainly not via the eye test, and Magic's advanced stats don't even remotely compare to MJ's either.

he was a much better passer and created better offenses than jordan for starters

It's pretty much what it boils down to.

I never asked who was the better player overall, just who was better offensively.
