I said I’d take Tatum two years ago even though I’m a big Luka fan boy but it’s razor thin for me.

Give me Tatum for this season and moving forward. Can play elite defense, and has stamina to play 45+ minutes. You all had a nice close up of Tatum’s passing which has gotten a lot better so he doesn’t really have any flaws in his game at this point, can only improve in areas. I think it’s close and don’t mind anyone who says Luka but anyone who says Luka is way better as if he’s prime Jordan right now are ridiculous

Tatum is a bit better imo. Luka’s ceiling is definitely higher but I’m just sold on Tatum’s game to game two way impact.

Tatum has been very impressive and his defense helps his case... but I'll still go with the first team because Luka is better. Luka needs to lose the pounds and get in shape though or Tatum could overtake him with impact and results.

Based off what? If you want to say offensively Doncic is def more well rounded thats obvious but there is a pretty significant gap defensively. Tatum def isnt the passer Doncic is but he def took a decent jump this season, I think he averaged 7/8 assists in the Brooklyn series. Saying handedly is a tad ridiculous when Tatum will most likely be first team all nba and top five in mvp voting. They also split on a lot of advanced stats.

i don't know, i think the first team loses. Tatum's defense on KD is an absolute game changer

Stats dont heavily way to either player. You have things like plus minus and vorp that favor Doncic this season while things like Win share 48 and rpm favor Tatum. As a Celtic fan I still lean toward Doncic but anyone that says one is easily levels above Im guessing cant give solid reasoning behind it.
