KD had one bad series after having a string of good to great ones for the previous 4-5 years and I would also say he was overrated based too much off of last year's playoffs. Beyond that, he is 33 and his legacy is pretty much secure/done as a player. Simmons otoh is like 25 and people went from assuming he would start playing as soon as he got traded to wondering now if he'll even play next year because no one has any idea what is going on with him. Simmons has pretty much destroyed all good faith that people had left in him as a player. Harden has the injury and age excuses on his side. Zion also belongs in this poll much more than LeBron or WB imo. WB just showed us the same stuff he has the previous 3 seasons.

KD. He was healthy, he had Kyrie. This was supposed to be his season. Going out of the 1st round with this roster, while being swept is a colossal failure.

Simmons, Harden and Westbrook didn't have a good reputation going into the season.

LeBron's legacy and reputation is safe no matter what happens (the guy is 37).

Kyrie is not a serious person for years.

So it's KD.

Wow really hard question.

I think I'd go Harden. He was an MVP level player by expectation going into this season and that's why the Nets were the championship favorites at the start of the year (hard to remember that far back but it's true).

KD had a tough series but had an amazing one against MIL last year and great regular season.

Harden though... looks like he might actually be done as a superstar and might just be an all-star level player now which is massive.

Harden looks like he might not even be all star level. He's fallen off a cliff quickly. But we'll see how he looks against miami.

All those guys played in games, except for one. So that's it.

*Whose

For me it's KD. Talk about a massive failure for a guy who is supposedly a legend. The Nets were mostly healthy and the big time favorites and got SWEPT.

KD and Lebron are regressing with age, but they still have it in tank.
Westbrook and Harden from game standpoint are the ones that got it worst. I’ll probably go for Harden.
As for the other two, those have to do with mental and personality problems, in meaningless games they sure can ball.

?? I didn't see them as favorites at all in that series and I know plenty of other people on here and in the media didn't as well. Some people just overrated the degree that KD+Kyrie can carry a team and forgot the Celtics were the top defense.

Kyrie. The more he talks the worse it gets.

It has to be the guy who didn't bother showing up all season (regardless of if his reasons were legit)

For the guys who played it's probably Westbrook due to all the media attention the Lakers get. All his past failures are going to be amplified, and achievements will be viewed with an asterisk.

Judgments on KD's season are premature. For example things will look vastly different from right now if the Celtics go on to sweep the Bucks and win a championship.

fascinating

this poll is nowhere near what i expected

lebron gets a pass
westbrook, the scapegoat of the year, is merely tied with kyrie for #3
harden escapes
simmons, who's rep was cemented LAST YEAR, remains on top
and kd is #2? i'm guessing people think this damages his ring years @gsw

i pretty much disagree down the line.
1- westbrook
2- lebron
3- kyrie
4- harden
5- kd
6- simmons

honorable mention - trae, knicks, vogel, ad, zion

Even if they just beat the Bucks in 7 games that's a big deal since they are the defending champs and Giannis is playing like a top 3 player.

Steph, for shooting less than 40% from 3 for the first time ever lol jk

I think the answer is Westbrook. The guys has 0 trade value and is the most overpaid player in the league according to almost everyone

Also, anyone criticizing what Bron is doing at age 37 is simply hating at this point. The guy should be washed up and is still performing at a very high level and damn near led the league in scoring. Although Lakers missed the playoffs, I think he added to how great he is this season IMHO

KD and Kyrie stunk it up in the playoffs and Kyrie not getting the vaccine hurt his imagine in my eyes but to me Westbrook's reputation was hurt more than both of them combined probably

Harden at least got to the 2nd round of the playoffs and played well in the close out game..

Simmons I guess is a good choice but again, not more than Russ

They won't because the Bucks won the championship last season and they did it by eliminating KD in the process.
This season, he was supposed to prove that with a healthy roster he's the best player and he will win it all(in his 3rd season there). He didn't.
If we win the championship  :naaa: great for us. But it doesn't mean anything good for a legend like KD. Look what LeBron did in 2018.
KD is in Brooklyn 3 years and he has won one playoff series.

That’s because you’re biased against bron basically lol. The media sort of drives the whole reputation damage thing and they’ve mainly been focusing on Simmons failure, KD failure and Kyrie failure and during regular season they shi**ed on Westbrook. Lebron is not really talked about too much right now.
