IS this true ??? I don't watch much of the Grizzlies basketball during the season , except when they play Denver. Does he carry the ball constantly, every game ???There were some blatant plays in his year play off's when he did that and refs didn't call what would have been an easy calls. In general refs in the NBA are very poor in calling travelling ,carrying and other technical aspects of the game , yet they are very quick to give away technical fouls to the players. I think NBA have to put more effort on ref's education.

Pretty much every player does. Technically you aren't supposed to put your hand under the ball and rotate it into the dribble

Ja Morant violates every dribbling rule known to man, but it's the NBA, they don't care about that anymore.

Morant is glaringly bad with it even by 2022 NBA standards

This makes it easier to refs to manipulate games when there are so many carries/travel/illegal screens every game. They can "enforce the rules" whenever they want to. It's the right call by basketball rules, but it won't be consistently called.

Like Suns/Mavs last night in the 2nd quarters, I didn't keep track but about 6 offensive fouls in less than a half quarter

I think we can all agree some cracking down on carrying and traveling would be nice. It's gotten a bit over the top at this point. It's obviously not just Ja, he's just who it is easier to notice it with.

I never realized how much KD carried until he was a Warrior. Lamelo is pretty gratuitous as well.

This is nothing new. MJ may still have been the most frequent traveler I've ever seen though they pretty much never got called, though Giannis does give him a run for his money

So many guys carry the ball its not even funny.

...a lot of people who think Jordan travelled all the time just look at his stutter-step and fail to realize you can take as many steps as you want as long as you don't pick up your dribble.

I'd care but literally everyone in the league has been doing this for like 20+ years. Even Steph had a huge carry in the same game when he pulled that move splitting the defense.

Every player does. Ever since Iverson the league agreed not to enforce it.

It’s sad that the rules aren’t enforced on the most talented basketball players in the world. Why even have the rule or teach it to the AAU youth if professional players don’t get held to the rules?

I live in Celtic territory and pointed out that Kyrie carries all the time and they were none too pleased with that statement while he was on the team. I’m guessing they wouldn’t be so upset by that statement these days.
