The Sixers will only go as far as Harden takes them.

Post#1 » by Cubbies2120 » Wed May 11, 2022 2:05 am

We saw in game 4, when Harden stepped up, he put the team on his back and scored 16 points in the 4th quarter. Embiid touched the ball like twice in the final 5 minutes, and the Sixers relied on a player with an MVP award in his trophy case to put the big boy pants on and carry them to a win.

Embiid had 0 field goals in the final 20 minutes of the game in game 4, and the Sixers rode Harden to a win.

Tonight, Harden had an awful game. Embiid also had a stinker, after all the talk of "He's gonna drop 50 after the MVP snub" all over twitter, realgm, etc. he came out and dropped... 17/5/2/1 with 2 turnovers, and a -29.

The Sixers NEED Harden to be the best player on the court like he has been a couple times this playoffs in order to win the ring. If Harden shows up, Embiid can be the Robin with 20/10 and elite defense.

Harden should open a striptease club and maybe release a rap album now. He is done with the basketball.

The Sixers are better when their whole team is going. When it just turns into watching Harden do something for the whole shot clock, they are far easier to defend.

Good team plays better when everyone plays well.

Amazing.

Yup so like tonight when it's Embiid and Harden holding the ball for 15 seconds, it works great for Miami. My point is it's better to get away from that. The Sixers won games 3 and 4 because their shooters were killing us and Miami couldn't make a shot. Not because Harden dropped 60 on us or something. We need to stop making it all about 1 guy.

Harden isn't good anymore.

The idea that he can take the Sixers anywhere is fruitless.

If they win it will be because of Embiid and Maxey.

Is he worth a max contract? Hell no.

Is he good compared to his prime offensive years? Hell no.

Is he still one of the best players in the league when he's on? Absolutely, we saw him put up a masterclass in the 4th quarter in game 4.

If that Harden can show up repeatedly, he can carry the rest of the Sixers to a ring. Because it's less likely to happen now than in years past, other players need to step up. Tonight, NOBODY did.

We already know Harden is cooked. Let the scapegoating to cover Embiid begin.

I already said this would happen as soon as Harden join. Great scapegoat for Chokebiid who was playing mediocre in the playoffs even before getting hurt.

Harden should pick up his player option and rest himself, play casually, and get in shape for a new 3-year contract with another team. Give it another shot with Embiid and peace out afterwards.

Bro literally had one game. That means nothing.

Role players have 30 point games all the time.

The rest of the playoffs hes sucked

Pretty good chance the 76ers aren't winning a title this year. Doesn't change the reality that if they are to win harden has to come up huge.

There’s plenty of threads for Jokic fans to discuss joel embiid and their rivalry .

Now they need all the attention just to back seat playoff criticize.

Embiid always has an excuse. He is like Teflon Don

Precisely. If they win, credit Embiid.
If they lose, blame Harden amd Doc. To be fair Doc is horrific.

after tonight, harden is truly done

with miami boxing up embiid i thought this was a chance for harden to step up, especially with all eyes on embiid. a very disappointing game. he's totally lost his game and i'm shocked

has there ever been a trade where both sides lost...not only lost but get bamboozled
