I saw the thread about the Bird and Magic trophies but didn't see anything about the new designs for the lineup of trophies the NBA is going with

I like how the base of the OB will have the names of the champs etched into it. Think it'll take some getting used to the new design though. Glad it still has that shine, the photos make it look dull, but in the videos it looks a lot better I think.

Looks ok, nothing comes close to the Stanley Cup in terms of trophies. Still better than the NFL.

Stanley Cup is a Hoss, agree 100%. NBA could learn a thing or two from the NHL's trophy presentation as well IMO. It's always irked me that the first person handed the trophy is the owner.

They look fine, improvements over the old ones can be seen. I'm not sure if I like the look of the silver net on the Finals trophies because it kinda looks like fish scales in the pictures... but I'm sure it will look fine in real life.

The LOB Trophy specifically looks lame now with the silver outlining of the ball and net imo. Almost looks cartoonish.

Completely unnecessary.

Definitely an interesting exercise to assign the award retroactively. This list is pretty much it, I'd say. Only things that I would change is that 2009 should definitely be LeBron, even in a losing effort and 2004, though this can be debated, I'd say Ben Wallace.

And for the WCF, 2007 is definitely Tim Duncan lol and 2002 should also be Shaq, 2004 again is also probably debatable, but I'd lean towards Shaq again.
