Might as well put a jersey on him.

You could just feel that Kidd wish he had a Jersey on. Gotta love it. Him and Kerr is gonna be fun with adjustments.

I was wondering why him after seeing his previous runs as coach. Meanwhile he was my fav PG. But he’s fully gained my respect as a coach.

I was certainly in that very big group of people.

Mainly because he didn't do much for the Nets as coach (don't forget he then quit on them when he knew that team was headed for a few hard years) and because the Bucks improved so much after Bud took over for him.
Brian Geltzeiler: You see Mark Jackson getting a head coaching job as early as next year?

Adrian Wojnarowski: Not if people make calls on him. Not if an organization is doing their homework and knows all the things he brings with him.

I had plenty of doubts myself.

But he's learned and grown. A ton. And once he combined that growth with his genius BBIQ, you get what we're seeing now.

Happy for him and the team.

Yep I'll put my hand up and say that I was definitely in that group of posters.

He's 100% proven me wrong so far.

Kidd is an absolute beast. Love his energy and you can see why/how this team demolished the SUNS.

Coach Kidd has been amazing this year. He got a team no one thought could play defense to play one of the best defenses in the league and has made the Mavs players better. A lot of people will say Luka elevated his teammates (which he has) but imo Kidd deserves the most credit. The players truly believe they are better because he has been consistent in his belief in them, win or lose. He hasn't just been a coach, he's been a leader.

Kidd has been brilliant. Very glad to say I was wrong about his coaching abilities. I still think in the long run it'll be a question of whether he can get better and adapt (which he didn't do in Milwaukee). But props for the job he's done so far. Taking this team to the WCF in his first season is nothing to scoff at.

Both of them deserve credit for sure. But I think Assistant Coach Sean Sweeney has been much bigger. He is the architect of the Mavs defense and will certainly be getting some calls as a HC for a team.

I still enjoy the Phil Jackson school of coaching. Sit there with a stone expression on your face for most of the game and occasionally whistling to their team and then putting his fingers together in a triangle shape when they turn back to look at him.

Wow…that’s the definition of coaching your butt off right there. He’s come a long way since his Brooklyn days. Do you think Steve Nash has this in him?

That's coaching? Sounds like a parent in the stands. I'm not impressed by this clip at all. Pretty basic.

I know a lot of coaches do this, but it’s cooler because it’s Jason Kidd

Let's be honest here, in the middle of a playoff game with tens of thousands of people screaming, most of the players on the floor probably cant hear anything from their coach on the sidelines. Everything is going to come down to the pre-game planning.

When someone says they learned a lot since their last jobs, you think its a stock response and a dog doesn't straighten its tail. However, Kidd has been nothing but a model citizen since he joined the Lakers bench under Vogel and I'm glad to see he made the necessary adjustments to his personality and basketball thinking to get back and prove himself. I don't think they have the offensive or defensive versatility to beat the Warriors, let alone the Celtics or the Heat but I'm happy to see them do well.
