Luka Doncic has been absolutely brilliant during 2022 playoffs and is perhaps NBA's best player as of speaking right now. He'll be up against GSW in WCF.

GSW used to be a dynasty, but it was on halt for a few seasons after 2019 NBA Finals. Now they are actually in the conversation to return to the biggest stage.

People argues that KD's rings don't mean anything because GSW would still have beaten 2018 Houston Rockets & 2017 Cavs without KD.

If GSW makes it back to NBA Finals, it would be a massive blow to KD's legacy. If Luka does actually knocks out GSW from WCF and the latter never reaches an another NBA Finals while Curry is still in his prime, then KD's legacy would look diffrenr.

Without KD, the Warriors would have just one ring. Fortunately for them there is so much parity in this league that they might just grab another one.

These conference finals are going to be great. First time in a long time where I thought every team in the CF’s had a chance to win the title.

KD's an ATG. If he wants to keep moving up the all-time list he needs to start turning in relevent seasons again.

2020: missed an entire season
2021: plays in 1/2 his team's games
2022: plays in 2/3 of games turns in sub-par post-season

When you're talking about the types of players Durant competes against on the all-time list these are meaningless seasons.

No, I don't think what the Warriors do affects KD that much, though it's possible he could take a very slight hit if they somehow win. The Warriors are old at this point, past their prime... it's all found money from here on out.

Without the Warriors, KD would have 0 rings.

I'm also confident that this group could have mustered up at least 1 more championship. Even looking at the 2018-2019 season we didn't need KD, we could have won with a 2nd tier star + more depth instead of KD, we made the Finals without him and that was with no depth + missing his salary slot.
