As an Italian fan I want Banchero to succeed, so he better not be drafted by Orlando lol.
OKC or Houston seem to be better destination. Hopefully he doesn't fall to Sacramento.

Jabari is the best shooter and that translates to the NBA very well. The fact that he’s a big also is really intriguing.

Chet is really good but can his body hold up? Unlimited ceiling and a very high floor — but again, can his body hold up!

Paolo could be the best player in the draft. But I’ve seen some games where I didn’t even notice him. When he’s motivated and “on” then he is arguably the best player in this draft.

But the Magic should trade the #1 pick and Mo Bamba for SGA and #12.

Then select Mark Williams with the 12th pick.

OKC builds around the top 2 picks (Jabari and Chet), and Giddey.

Poku/Bamba
Jabari
Chet
Dort
Giddey

Orlando runs with a long term line up of:

WCJ/Mark Williams
Wagner
Isaac
SGA
Fultz

watching frontcourt players today, It seems like to be a superstar you need a combination of strength athleticism shotmaking and playmaking at an elite level with great quickness. Jabari is the safest pick, but he seems more like a guy who plays off of someone im describing as opposed to be becomming that guy.

on the other hand defensively if you cant guard the ball or rotate on the perimiter, teams are just going to mercilessly abuse you and im not sure if paolo and chet are going to be doing that in the nba, so its a very tough decision to make for these gms. I would just trade for a player and not have to deal with getting it right.

One of the least heralded drafts in recent memory. Holmgren is probably the pick even though I feel like hes going to bust. Honestly if the Magic can trade the pick for an all star then do it.

I've only seen Ivey, Banchero and Holmgren play, and I've seen Jabari's scouting reports/highlights.

Chet's a tough kid, he doesn't have a soft mentality but still his size concerns me. And I don't want to hear about KD or KG, both of those guys came into the league about 20 pounds heavier than Chet is now. With that being said, his overall potential is probably the highest of the three, when you factor his defensive potential.

I understand why Jabari is an attractive prospect, elite shooter with great size, a decent handle and an excellent defender, but I still lean towards Banchero.

Banchero is 6'10 with a really good handle for a guy his size, knows how to operate in the post and has a good jumper, and is a very good passer. There were times when he looked unstoppable once he set his mind to attacking and scoring.

It's a tough call in this draft, which is why I wasn't disappointed in the least My Pistons fell to 5.

Anyone of;

Chet
Smith
Banchero
Ivey
Sharpe
Murray

Could end up being a star. All have question marks. At least at 5, it's going to be between the "rest" making it somewhat easier to pick.

I think they should take Jabari. He’s a good shooter with lots of size. He’d fit well. I think OKC takes Chet. But I’ve been wrong before.

Pretty weak draft but I'd go with Paolo.

Haven't seen him play. All I know is combine measurements have him at 6'4" something.

I think with the uncertainties around Jonathan Isaac's health and Markelle's troubles... taking Chet or Banchero seems riskier for the Magic than other franchises. Neither WCJ or Bamba look like world beaters so they might as well go with the safest choice among the bigs in Jabari. He's more of a 2nd option compared to the other two but he looks the least likely to have injury/stamina issues and is the most switchable defender of the three.

Or get Sharpe in for a work out to see if he's #1 material and if they like the look of a Suggs-Sharpe back-court. OKC might be interested in trading up and give them #12 too.

Who should the Magic pick 1st?

Chet is 30lbs skinnier than Bol Bol.

It feels like Cs are becoming the running backs of the NBA, unless it is a generational guy they’re not worth spending a high pick on.

You have to take into account the 3 inches and 25 pounds of muscle a top prospect gains in his first summer in the NBA

I know very little about these prospects, but I'd lean towards Smith because of his size and skill set.

jabari smith has kevin durant/ kevin garnett type potential and should probably go first. banchero is probably too slow to be a superstar, at best an al horford or lamarcus aldridge caliber player.

Comical people talk about a lot the idea of trading the 1st pick as if it happens every second year. Magic isn't trading the 1st overall pick.

They all have the potential to be a star. I guess the question is which guy has the "most" potential.

Which quite honestly comes down to which guy has the best work ethic and there's no way for us to know that.
