With 29 teams sleeping snugly in their graves and one team out partying, it is time to bid a fond farewell to the 2021-22 season.

If you would like to review any of the post-mortems, here they are. Thank you for your thoughtful discussions.
Spoiler:

What's that, you say? You want to see the graphs in all their resplendent ugly-color-schemed glory? Sure, it's the least I can do since you took the time to fill out the surveys. I see you and appreciate you.

Better just use uniform color scheme and 2d presentation for the clarity.

I think you need the words stay the same versus treadmill as you could cause many fights with just the terminology alone in those 30 threads.

Yep, I was thinking along the lines of "maintaining" for next year.

This was a good series of posts - allowing us to discuss all the teams as they were eliminated and get opinions of the teams fans and general NBA fans.

Looking back at this season - I'm not sure many had a Golden State vs Boston NBA Finals. I think that goes to show that when your close (top-3 level team in your conference) you go for it. Sure, it might have taken a Khris Middleton injury for Boston to get past Milwaukee - but injuries are part of the game. You need to be in position to capitalize if an opportunity presents itself.

My other conclusion from reading these threads is that you can never have enough big 3 and D wings. I think almost every team could use more depth at that position.

Love seeing these graphs; data is beautiful! Impressive work all the way through, as usual, Dr. Teeth & Co!

You know I was thinking how much the game has changed even beyond 3/D guys. I look at Uncle Cliffy(RIP) and how he would be viewed at with his skill set that was before it’s day. Would Robert Horry be a all star level guy in this day and age. How would a prime Hedo or Rasuard Lewis be right now.

That, and also probably more clarity if we're talking about pre-season expectations, mid-season expectations, or something else as well.

But this has been fantastic, and thank you for organizing it!

Congratulations for everything.
The only thing i would change is the question about a team's future (rising, treadmilling etc).
I think that the combination of the other 3 questions, leaves no doubts about the estimated future.

Thx for the posts. Teams can turn things around in one draft with the right players

How exactly are the Raptors a rising Team?? Their best players are siakam and fvv who they had to pay. They scream treadmill team for many years to come.

Good call.

Also just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you, ElectricMayhem, for doing this project each year, and helping us visualize the data. Great stuff, and I hope you're keeping records of this for year-by-year analysis!

This post mortem project is consistently the best thing to have come out the forum in a long time. I was more of a reader then a pariticipiator, but it was highly appreciated reading throughout.
