Bookies have some insider info? Jabari and Chet are busts anyhow I'm not surprised st all magic flipped after in depth evaluation. Both of them are role players/complimentary pieces and not worth #1 pick that's not to say Paolo is guaranteed star but he has more star ability than them imo.

Who is surprised ?
Paolo has a nba ready game and body- and played at duke- so a bunch of big games. Upside prime Blake or Randal - down side a good rotational player -maybe a Bobby Portis

Chet appears to be a project - could be KD or could be as injured as KP...or could be bol bol...

-and the rest while good don’t have the potential upside of Chet or Paolo.....

Is there a single guy like Trae in the draft where you think...if everything works out that he could be an AllNBA player beyond Paolo or Chet ?

Cole Anthony and Banchero were both working out at the same gym yesterday. It's possible that the Magic's front office was there.

Banchero is the sure thing. He has star player written all over him with his size, playmaking, and ball handling skills. Iam not surprised.

Well that's one way to get around it, I suppose. It's not like they've not scouted him plenty either. I wad just making the point that Banchero has post-poned several times with the Magic already.

There's lots of subterfuge right now, like Chet sending his medicals to only a couple of teams, Smith only working out for two teams, Ivey not working out or communicating with the Kings at all, etc.

Player reps are trying to steer their clients to best perceived destinations. Banchero reportedly has connections with Rockets coach or GM.

Not surprised been saying it for a looong time.

I'm sure the Magic talks with Paolo's agent Mike Miller all the time. He was at a lot of our games last season because he represents RJ Hampton.

The Rockets will be in a tough position if Chet hasn't shared his medicals with them.

Totally agree. He's the only blue chip prospect in contention for #1. Magic will surely screw this up . He develops even a decent NBA 3 point shot (32-35%) and he will be a monster. 33.8% is really not that bad for a 4 at his age. His defense will be fine in the NBA imo.

Not to mention he's an absolute unit at 250 lbs.

I know the fit isn't there with the Magic, but I think Ivey is the guy to have in this draft.

I'd probably take Jaden Ivey over all of them.
