There are a lot of great NBA players still without contracts for this upcoming season. Which ones are done with NBA as a player?
Carmelo Anthony
Dwight Howard
Blake Griffin
Lamarcus Aldridge
Rajon Rondo
Isaiah Thomas
Lou Williams
Paul Millsap
DeMarcus Cousins
Andre Iguodala
I could also add Enes Kanter (he was great in fantasy), and Tristan Thompson.

Kemba is on the Pistons. Not saying he will play with them this season though.

Carmelo, Howard can still be played in limited role.
Walker is still young and can play in a limited role.
Rondo can help
Cousins was productive when he played last year.
rest of them (in the poll) are washed and did not produce in limited minutes last year.

Fixed. I am so sure he will be cut eventually that I anticipate myself.

I think Griffin, Aldridge, Millsap and Lou are probably done. I feel like Iggy is probably back on the Warriors if he wants to be.

I voted only for Lou Williams, I think all the other players are going to play in the next season, eventually.

Was Lou Will an allstar?
Anyways, I think Iggy comes back if he wants to.
Millsap seems like he's done, and he's fine with it.
I could see Dwight and Melo getting another shot if they really want to, but I'm not sure that they do.
I think Kemba is on the only one on an active roster...so he's a safe bet to see some floor time.
Aldridge, Blake, and Cousins will get another shot...maybe later on in the season though.
I think Rondo's legal troubles make him the most likely to be done, despite not wanting to be done.
I.T is a wild card...seems like some team is always willing to atleast give him a 10 day.

If you told me just a few years ago (before Cousins' injury) that Blake, Cousins & Kemba would all be fighting to stick in the league at age 32/33, I would've thought you were nuts. Crazy how quick injuries can ruin someone, even All-NBA caliber players.
Anyway, I think Millsap is the most likely one to not be back. He looked pretty bad last year in limited minutes. Think he's also realized teams aren't going to be giving him any key roles anymore. If anyone signs him, I think it will be a contender of his choice. He's made like $200M for his career and he seems like a smart dude, so I doubt he's worried about any money right now.

I don’t intend for this to hijack or derail the thread, but a fun follow-on question is: how well would these players do on a team in 2023, all in their primes?

It would be a very good roster.
Rondo/Thomas
Iguodala/Lou
Melo/Millsap
Griffin/Aldridge
Howard/Cousins

I had saw this mistake before posting. But I fix it the poll title but I forgot to fix the thread title.

I think Rajon Rondo and Paul Millsap are done. Likely Blake Griffin as well. I could maybe see Carmelo get another shot, likely a team like the Nets or Knicks. Dwight Howard might return, but not sure. Same with DeMacrus Cousins.

Melo is definitely getting another shot. DmC will as well as teams without dominating centers get sucked in by him again at some point during the season.
I think Rondo is done. Probably Millsap as well.

No worries haha I actually had to look this up because I thought he sneaked in there as an injury replacement one year

Cousins was good for the Bucks in limited action. He's still an NBA player if he's behaving.

What no option for Lebron?????
Seriously though, I didn't even realized that Paul Millsap and Lou Williams were still in the league - so I went with them!

Millsap is 100% done. Aldridge could continue but it's rumored he's leaning towards retiring, Blake it's hard to say but I think he could still serve as an end of bench guy who brings toughness and physicality when called upon (just not s consistent contributor anymore)...

Milsap and others doesn’t deserve to be considered great if the poll includes Melo and Howard
These were best in league candidates and potential
