Once again, I am carrying the torch for Filthadelphia's annual Top 25 Player poll this offseason.

Your favorite offseason debate is back by popular demand!
Thanks to everyone who voted last go around I'm excited to see where the 5th annual edition ends up.

Here are the Rules:
-Vote ONE player per poll. You'll be able to change your vote just like in previous years so you can self-implement rank choice voting.
-The criteria of ranking the players is YOUR OWN. The whole point of bringing this to the GB is to attract the widest amount of votes/perspectives on the game as possible to form a true consensus. Some people value shooting over defense, team success over individual prowess etc. Filthadelphia wanted to bake all that into this poll set no matter how chaotic.
-Each poll a player will win and then be taken out of the field. There will be 25 polls in all.
-There are only 10 possible poll options so I will start with last year's Top 10.
-As each poll commences I ask you to COMMENT IN THE THREAD your vote for who should be added in the next poll. There will be a large list of players yet to be added to the field below that you can look over to make your vote. I will tally up the votes in the comments at the end of each poll and add the winner accordingly. For example, if you want Xavier Tillman added in the next poll just comment "Nominate: Xavier Tillman"
-If a poll is overwhelmingly skewed towards one guy I will try, time willing, to edit it early and move on to the next one.
-If there is a tie in the poll. There will be a run-off poll created with just the tying parties to determine a winner. The losers of the runoff will then be added back into the field of 10 for the next poll.
-Feel free to ask any questions via pm or comment
-Feel Free to comment on your reasoning for a pick and why

Phoenix didn't win 64 games by accident. I had both Booker and Paul in the 8-11 range last season. Booker's young enough that - if anything - he should improve. I' expect Paul to decline out of the top-15 but not fall off a cliff.

I think Dame has a big time bounce back season.

Vote: Rudy Gobert. Most of the Top 10 do it on both sides of the court. A lot of the players remaining on the poll are elite on one end. Looking at how elite they are on that end and how little do their deficiencies on the other end hurt them, I think Gobert is the best selection. He can anchor a regular season defense with no help. I think Minnesota is going to show a lot this year once they get their chemistry down.

I agree completely, but won't argue much if Morant makes it over Gobert, especially considering even marginal improvements.

I voted Dame @ 10, so he's my pick here again.

I'll say it again, he has nothing to aim for other than massive numbers this season & I think he's going to gun for scoring champ with not much in his way in going for it. Sure Simons will likely step right into CJ's role with a bit more dynamic look but he's still so young & POR will also want to see glimpses of what Sharpe is or isn't so that role will be a bit shared.

While they figure that out, I think Dame is gonna bomb away to try to at least add to career accomplishments, go up the all time 3pt list & just try to remind people that at one point people were questioning if he was closing the gap on Curry. I believe he's going for that again and will have a bigger regular season than Jimmy and quite frankly I'm just skeptical that Butler will hold up physically. He struggles seemingly every year to get through all the grind, he's had some grinding and lengthy Playoffs for several years now, he's only getting older (will be 34) and with PJ gone who else is defending on the perimeter?! Herro?! Robinson?! An old Lowry?? I think it's going to effect how much he can exert himself...

I think Ja is dynamic as hell but I'll be interested to see how well he holds up physically as he's already starting to deal with some dings here & there as a guy so lean that's also incredibly dependent on his explosiveness. I just wonder how well he'll hold up especially with JJJ out yet again and having to carry even more of the load through the season with a much more competitive West this season. I just think as an independent player, not team success, Dame will ball harder than both of them. On my list who I would expect to have a bigger season as an individual Dame would go 10, Ja 11, Jimmy 12, but that's just me.

Although the darkhorse in all of this top 10 discussion, Zion. If he remains fairly healthy, he's leapfrogging all of them.
