Never been a fan of point forwards or SGs on this list just because they have playmaking capabilities. Dont think we would put people at Center just because they can rebound well.

Regardless, the PG field has to be the strongest its ever been in the history of the NBA.

its crazy to look at it next to the SG list. The SG position has to be the weakest it's been in decades if not forever.

I'd flip Dame and CP3. Especially after the season Dame had ( know he was hurt).

I'd also then put CP3 above Morant.

i'd bump FVV and SGA over Irving and Murray for now.

PG is always stacked because that's the only position relatively short people (under 6'4") can play without automatically being a liability on defense.

That's because we categorize so many players as Point Guards and have realized if you're a good ball handler at the 2 you may as well be a lead ball handler.

Seems stupid to call someone who has the ball all the time and initiates all the offense when they are on the court something else just because they are tall.

I mean we didn't say Magic wasn't a PG. Why is it an issue now when more and more players of size are playing the position?

Typically this is an argument used by fans of a smaller PG who want to get some guys kicked off the list so their guy can be higher. Like when Duncan was playing next to Robinson or Rasho but all the KG stans wanted him labeled a center so KG could be the best PF in the league.

Sometimes common sense needs to dictate this.

We're also still all stuck in the antiquated 1-5 position ball labels.

I'm 100% sure NBA teams don't even think this way anymore.

It's not even that. It's simply a numbers game. I remember reading somewhere that at one point something like 15% of everyone on the planet 7 feet or taller would have a swim through the NBA. And with every inch shorter you greatly increase the numbers. Get down to 6 feet or just above and now you have a massive player pool. So naturally it will be easier to find NBA skilled players.

To me that has to be

4. Towns
5. Siakam

Until Zion proves he can stay healthy.

Not sure if he should be above FVV considering the defense FVV provides.

They're definitely in the same tier though.

Yes, that was sort of implied. There's a ton more 6'2" Derrick Roses than 6'8" LeBrons, but there's a lot less market for 6'2" NBA players, so the relative skill level is always highest at the PG spot.

I keep wondering how Brown is listed higher than Middleton on these lists.

I know Fox struggled most of last year, but putting Brunson over him seems a bit off. Think Brunson can actually get up there with the Knicks, just don't think he's made it to that point yet.
