So much wrong here.

They have Klay as better than Garland and Shai? Come on now.

Apparently Wiggins is better than Kyrie LOL.

Idk how Cade is better than Mobley, Barnes, FVV, LaMelo, etc…

Geez.

No. 33: Kyrie Irving
No. 32: Andrew Wiggins

Now, I'm a massive Wiggins fan (still rock his jersey when playing at the local) and think Kyrie is an absolute nutcase, but this is some weird ****...

When Marcus Smart is ranked ahead of Zion, you know ESPN is full of morons.

Wiggins is 32 and OG Anunoby is 75. Vucevic is 57 and Horford is 70. Demar Derozan is 20 spots higher than Shai and Garland.

This is just a random list of NBA players. There's no way much effort was put into this. If it's a voting thing then 2/3 of the voters don't know much about players outside the top 10.

Bojan Bogdanovic should be in the 70s (e.g., Harrison Barnes/John Collins)

Klay is being overrated here, I agree (also relevant to other Warriors players). And Garland in particular is underrated.

PistolPeteJR wrote:Apparently Wiggins is better than Kyrie LOL.

Yeah, I'd argue that most teams are better off with Wiggins than with Kyrie. If only because you get an incredibly durable player without all the drama who played a very important role (athletic defensive wing with offensive ability) very effectively last year. I can completely understand why someone would rank them like this.

PistolPeteJR wrote:Idk how Cade is better than Mobley, Barnes, FVV, LaMelo, etc…

Clearly this is a projection vote. It's not about last season. I can absolutely see Cade being better this year than all the players you listed. Of course this assumes that Cade makes a considerable jump which is entirely possible but clearly a given. Others can make this jump as well but I'd also think that Cade is the most likely player to make this jump given his profile (lead ball handlers and scorers usually need a year to adjust before they become effective).

there's at least 10-12 guys better than Jaylen Brown listed after him. Laughable and recency bias

The gap between Wiggins and OG is too large, I agree. I'm also not high on Vucevic but I would not contest anyone who believes that 36 year old Horford is going to regress further and should be ranked in that range. Garland is clearly underrated but SGA is more difficult to judge because he wasn't that good last season and still struggles with health – so the range where he can be justifiably ranked is naturally very large. DeRozan comes off a career-year, so I understand at least the impulse even though I continue to be skeptical of his outlier year and would personally rank him a bit lower.

Wiggs from 77 to 32 in one year by ESPN.

Bridges 49th
Anunoby 75th

I like it b/c he is my guy, but ESPN doesnt show constancy.

It is incredible that Giannis tops the list, and the justification doesn't even mention defense

I must be the only person in the world who thinks of Giannis first and foremost as an incredible defender.

Well if you don't play how good you really are?
