There’s still the rookie wall I keep talking about. But someone has to be there to take advantage.

Also maybe the Magic will be so good that he sits in the 4th like last game. 8-) If only…

He hit one a bit after coming back from injury. Stats were still there but didn't look that effective. But some of that was readjusting to the game.

He also said he cares about winning ROY so worst case he’ll power through it to keep his numbers up. There’s also Suggs and JI that need shots but he has enough of a lead…

Wasn't there someone saying something about a rookie wall in this thread? Who was that brilliant prophet? 8-)

Usually when someone does something good against Orlando I just laugh it off because it’s Orlando. But it appears he really is that good at rebounding! Looks like a great young player to have.

There is no such thing as a rookie wall, lol. The more simple answer is teams have adjusted to Paolo and now it’s his job to adjust back.

I think you've just described the rookie wall.

Yes that is literally what people mean when they say the "rookie wall". Its just easier and more catchy to say hit the rookie wall instead of, well it appears teams have adjusted to the rookie, so the things he was doing earlier in the season wont be as easy. This is what happens to most young guys who have NBA coaching staffs make adjustments to slow him down. Its probably going to take a little bit, but now its up to the rookie to make his adjustments.

To be fair, I’m not sure how much is adjustment and how much is just his head isn’t in the game since Christmas. He’s already had a stretch like this so I’m sure he’ll turn it around.

I always thought “rookie wall” meant the rookies are just extremely tired and began to regress because their body can’t hold up for the entire season.

Great seeing Mark Williams finally getting some minutes. Really good 1st half tonight

9/7 with 2 blocks and a 1 steal in 10 minutes.

Mark Williams looked so much bigger on the court than OKC

17 pts, 13 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks in only 21 minutes in just his 3rd game in the rotation (on 100% shooting)

Really puzzling that the Hornets held out playing him for so long

Super simple game tonight, but so damn effective. Set good screens, get in open spots near the basket. Then on defense, just make smart rotations. Then of course just be a massive human being.

That was really impressive tonight.

I was hoping the Magic could steal him before Clifford gave the rook a shot

Banchero efficiency numbers are sliding. Does he still win ROTY if his FG% is 41 with 19 PPG? Not going to look good if it slides below 40.
