I personally take pre injury Rose in a heartbeat. I think he was better player despite Westbrook having better stats.

Can't think of a reason to take Rose in this one. Westbrook actually deserved his MVP, he was pretty nuts that year. Rose was good, but not MVP good and got a lot of love on the back of an exceptional, league-altering defense. Again, very good, but not really the same kind of offensive driver as 2017 Westie.

Maybe I am irrational hater, but Rose was always better in my opinion, I can't stand how overrated Westbrook is, at least I think he always been overrated. Rose going down with injury made people forget how this archtype of the player should play to really be good. And its not like Rose was perfect, he was taking too many stupid 3s, but he was in control, he could control his speed, he was dominant, Westbrook is just a stat chaser, he is dominant but not in control or impact way, to me its amazing how a guy who averaged 12 assists per game can be such a non factor as playmaker and passer really, he is like Whiteside who could block 3 shots and suck on d, this is Westbrook in all stat categories, all his stat stuffing is empty as hell, seriously cant stand the hype around this guy, but I am in bad mood, I am having a very bad suicidal episode, so sorry.

Bottom line, Dwight should have been MVP, but Rose was fine choice. Westrbook MVP to me, to this day is a complete joke, I am honestly pissed that this guy is going to a hall of fame, he is prime example of stats meaning ***** sometimes, but again, very bad hater and highly medicated depression episode...

Westbrook's MVP triple double season was far more impactful than the following triple double seasons. This will get lost in the sauce especially since people have short memories with players currently past their prime. Dwight also deserved MVP over rose in 2011. I loved rose back then too.

People forget he dragged a team projected to be in the lottery to a fairly strong season, and had an absolutely bonkers clutch season. Helps that it was before his free throw shooting went to hell and he had his best shooting season overall too. Basically the perfect storm.

I'm taking Russ by a longshot.

Russ in a vacuum was better. But i'd rather have Rose on any good team. But hard to deny how good russ was carrying that game.

Westbrook. I think Russ gained alot over those 6 years. I mean Derrick was still just 22 in 2011.

I'd go with Russ. Not really a fair comparison though, this is Westbrook in his absolute prime against a young developing Rose. Just a damn shame we never got to witness what peak Rose would have looked like

Even if Westbrook had only 5 rebounds per game in the 2017 season,it would been my choice.He was special and very clutch in 2017 too.The thunder were very bad outside of him

Prime Rose by far. He was a better player. More clever, less selfish, harder to stop, and made his teammates better.

Westbrook has always been empty stats. A player with tremendous physical conditions but a poor basketball IQ. A perfect player to play with an empty squad in regular season. Nothing else.

Man, the Russ hate is real. I don't even like Westbrook at all and have always thought he was massively overrated but his 2017 season was legit and miles better than Rose's MVP season. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either blinded by nostalgia or blinded by the current Westbrook, imo.

2017 Westy was a beast. Even though they lost in the 1st round in 5 he had a positive +/- in four of those games, his bench completely failed him in the few minutes of rest he took. D Rose had a chance to get to that level had he been healthier but 2011 Rose wasn't on that level

Westbrook and it's not even close.

Westbrook was just superior shooter this year and all the advanced stats and playmaking ability tips balance to Westbrook's side. Rose didn't play much defense either in 2011 so he doesn't really have any kind of balancing factor on that side of the floor. Rose also might have the lowest playmaking IQ of all-star level player of 2010s. In fact I think Westbrook has like 5 seasons where I would take him over MVP Rose as the better overall player especially when you factor in Westbrook being clearly better defender basically all the years till 2020s.

Looking at this poll you would think Westbrook touched these guys in their sleeps inappropriately.

You never watched Rose if you think he made his teammates better even remotely on similar level as Westbrook did.
